I have wallpaper in the kitchen (apartment complex's idea, not mine). At least it's a fairly neutral, unobtrusive color, but I can't wait to move into my next apartment, where they actually let you paint the walls! Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | What Color Is Your Kitchen? |

I first used raw shallots in a warm chickpea salad from Orangette (by way of a few other folks) and it's just wonderful - as you said, mild but still nice and oniony. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | What's the Deal with Shallots? |

After reading this article this morning I thought I'd like to order some - lo and behold, when I went to get lunch from the local fancy food market there were bottles of Savannah Bee Company Tupelo honey for sale! I splurged and bought a 12 oz. bottle for a bit less than the web price. I can't wait to try it. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | What's So Special About Tupelo Honey? |

I love toast and will eat it any time. Our local co-op has a great bakery and they make wonderful loaf breads - sunflower seed, oatmeal, and my favorite, a yeasted cornmeal. This bread is perfect with just about everything: butter, honey, apricot jam, tomato soup... Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Sleepy Morning Question: How Do You Like Your Toast? |

To thinkingwoman - I had the same problem when I received a friendship bread starter. I just left the pudding out altogether and it turned out fine; I think I even subbed in some whole wheat flour with no ill effects. (It's been a while since I made it so I can't remember exactly what I did!) Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Open Thread 190 |

I used to eat them quite often, but I've been cooking with more whole foods lately and so try to avoid fake meat. That being said, I do get cravings for veggie corn dogs and Tofurky! I think they're okay as occasional treats but they don't comprise a big part of my diet. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Meat Substitutes: Love 'Em or Hate 'Em? |
