If it's dropping leaves, your plant is in distress. Don't repot it! Fiddle leaf figs like to be in fairly tight pots -- it will suffer even more if you put it in something bigger.
It doesn't sound like you're overwatering, but you want to be sure to water it when the first couple inches of soil are dry, stick your finger into the soil to check. Moving it to a brighter spot might help too.

Our main rule is that everything be beautiful, no "placeholders" or plastic throwaway items. Our kitchen/living/dining is in one small room, so I absolutely do not want to have to look at something ugly just because it's useful.

A Noguchi table AND an LC4 (which I have to assume is a replica?)
Not bad furnishings!

I bought Truck Nest a couple of months ago and have felt deeply inspired by their shop, home, and way of life. Your home is beautiful and reminds me very much of their simple, authentic style.

Sydney Hale, by far. Their scents are wonderful and their candles always burn so evenly.
I do occasionally buy a Mrs. Meyer's for a cheap pick me up :)

I love everything about this place, especially all of the beautiful pottery! What a great collection.
I do think the dining area could use a rug, but I know that's something not everyone likes to do in a food area.

Bring it to a professional. Bringing the dresser back to its original state shouldn't be difficult for someone who knows what they're doing, and if it's a family heirloom it'll be worth the few hundred dollars it will cost to repair it.

But what about over medium?! Solid whites, runny yolk...with a sprinkle of pepper and sriracha.
Though I wouldn't say no to any of the ones listed above. Eggs, I can't quit you.

Which Is Easier To Keep Looking Clean: Light or Dark Rugs?

We had a navy blue flat weave rug in our living room and it would show hair/crumbs/dirt almost immediately after vacuuming. I loved the rug but it was so frustrating! I switched to a higher pile light colored patterned rug (a href="this">http://www.target.com/p/threshold-criss-cross-fleece-rug-cream/-/A-14180731?ref=tgt_adv_xasd0001&AFID=Performics_Polyvore_0004ce4eec4c6bd80a430aaefc00231f&LNM=Primary">this one from Target) and I am SO pleased with how much easier it is to keep clean. I think it's a combo of the pattern and high pile that make dirt a lot less obvious. Flat weave rugs only seem to work in high traffic areas if they are heavily patterned.

Ahhh, I LOVE this home. It's cozy and lived in, but thoughtfully decorated. What a great use of the space.
My partner owns a small record label and I have an online vintage shop; we both run our businesses from our 750sf apartment...often time's we have a wall o' boxes just like Maura does. Seeing hers makes me worry a lot less about the eyesore of it all.

I love the look of a home bar, but in a much neater/contained style than the image above. We keep out a decanter of bourbon and another of scotch, with maybe a bottle of gin (Hendricks, of course) in the summer time. Our bitters and mixers, however, stay in our kitchen cabinets...alongside my usual Bota Box of merlot ;)

If that way my kitchen, I would keep the white paint and just add some open shelving right in little corner, starting just above the backsplash. You could leave them a light bare wood that matches your baseboards and moulding. Some pretty, minimal styling on the shelves would make that area so nice!
