I love all these nursery tours, but honestly I have to laugh a little. I have 3 year old twins and was very serious about making the perfect nursery - it was perfect. Until they started crawling and walking... those bookshelves close to the floor - make sure they are really in the wall (my kiddos tore them out as soon as they could). That mobile - it looks so architectural and cool, but in reality my daughter needed an obnoxious neon-colored-hanging-monkeys-playing obnoxious-music in order to get mesmerized enough to stop crying. And those perfectly placed items on the changing table... good luck keeping those there - as soon as the baby can start to grab and reach, those are goners.

It is beautiful though... I do love it - I hope it stays this way for as long as possible!!

This is pretty incredible how similar this pieces are. I agree that I would probably never go for that Ikea credenza because I know how Ikea stuff is made and it would never stand up to the C&B one (although that one probably doesn't look so good either in person). I would LOVE to see more posts like this! So great.

This is a lovely house, I cannot believe they have only lived there 4 months! I do want to point out that this is not a "Traditional-Style" home, but clearly a Craftsman... two very different styles of architecture!

OMG... my jaw will not get off up off the floor. I am an LA Realtor (also living in Mt Washington) and I wrote an offer on this house two years ago for my clients at the time - they loved this place, but it was a real fixer. I CANNOT believe the work they have done to transform this house. Every detail has been renovated and looks phenomenal. I am blown away - I wish readers could see what it looked like before!

These median home prices are a joke . . . if you can find me a decent (not completely trashed fixer) 4 bedroom house in actual Silver Lake for $826 or less, I can guarantee it will sell waaaay over the asking price in this market.

And a 3 bedroom in actual Studio City for less than $799,000?? No way.

This is actually a terrible idea... glitter gets everywhere and once your little ones start to move and touch everything you can basically guarantee that you will forever be picking glitter out of their clothes, hands, hair, carpet, sheets, dolls, diapers - anything you can think of.

We also have the sofa in the first photo - Corona from Macys. I really really love the look of it, but after 4 years it is so uncomfortable I can hardly stand sitting on it for more than an hour. The cushions are so smooshed, your tush is basically on the frame with you sit on it. I thought about having it re-upholstered, but I think based at the price point it isn't a "high quality" sofa, so it is probably not worth the expense.... thoughts?
Now we are looking at the Taylor sofa from Thrive Furniture. Anyone have experience with this company?

Yay for twin nurseries! I am due in a little less than two months with b/g twins and love looking at inspiration to see how other people design a double nursery! We also used gray for the walls!
