What about the chair legs leaving marks on the walls. Those turquoise ones look metal and would scratch the white walls. And I agree with the other comments about running into them. Interesting idea though, but probably not practical in most homes. Chairs as Shelves! vtwonen | Apartment Therapy Boston |

Yes, go with the black. My parents have a very small powder room and they painted their light oak vanity black, and it looks great. I think it would match the mirror frame better and make the whole room 'pop' Would You Paint this Bathroom Vanity Cabinet? | Apartment Therapy Chicago |

You could do cream curtains and cream colored furniture. Large artwork on the walls with little red details in it would be great too. A muted blue looks good with red and cream, so some accents with muted blue. Good luck, it has lots of possibilities. How To Brighten Up Deep Red Dining Room? I am not liking the black or charcoal with the dark brown molding either. How about a dark teal blue/green with the dark brown molding? Or a dark sage green. Terra cotta would also be a nice contrast. Would love to see pictures of whatever color you decide. Can Dark Walls Work With Dark Wood Molding?Good Questions | Apartment Therapy Chicago |

We are in the process of turning our guest room into a shared guest room nursery. We have 2 dressers, a crib and a queen bed in there. I was wondering the same thing as Alisa K. What to do with the baby when we have guests. Fortunately our guests are family members so I don't mind them sharing a room with the baby, but while nursing and if the baby doesn't sleep through the night, that might be awkward for the guest. We are planning to put a playpen up in our bedroom for the once a month time that mom or mom in law comes to visit. I was wondering what other people do? The Leksvik extendable bed by IKEA can be a toddler bed and longer. I don't know how it extends, if only at certain intervals, but it may be worth looking into. Sources for Small-Scale Youth Beds Good Questions | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

They are not the real thing. The site says modern classic furniture so you know it is not old. Also I looked under Eames, and it is called "eames style" chair so again, it states it is not an actual Eames chair. Like one of the other comments said, you get what you pay for. It might be a cheap way to get a designer look, but I don't know about the quality. Lexington Modern – Designer Furniture & Fried Chicken? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy New York |

I have the Trofast system and love it. I actually got it second hand and had to put it back together. I have had no problems with the drawers sticking and everything seems flush to me. I've never thought about using it in a closet and adding rods to it. It seems to me you would only need two rods, not all 4, kids clothes aren't that small. One other thing, leathers can be scratched so make sure you get a soft leather, not the kind you would slide off of. Do a fingernail 'scratch' test at the store. Find one that won't scratch. Washable & Durable Sofa for Families Good Questions | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

I agree with so many other comments, LEATHER is the way to go. It can be a bit cold in the winter, but a blanket on the couch is a lot easier to deal with than stained fabric. So easy to clean, and with kids, that is what you need. We have had a leather couch for the past 10 years and when it comes time to replace it, you can be sure we will get another leather one, even when our kids are grown. BadJuJu77 recommended an oil cloth, I think that is the same thing I am thinking about called a floor cloth. My mother in makes them. Canvas painted to match your decor and then coated with poly. so it will stay neat. Very wipeable and can add a personal touch. If you are interested I can see if she would do one in the size and colors you want, or I am sure you could find similar things on etsy or ebay maybe. It looks like the walls are painted the light green color as in the rug, and the chair is the neutral color in the rug. I would look for something in the pink and yellow colors. You could a light blue. Maybe a little bit lighter than the light blue in the quit since you said the room is small. Light blue can be boy-ish and girl-ish (think Cinderella blue as my very girly daughter calls it). Paint Color to Match Homemade QuiltGood Questions | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |
