What are some good short term solutions and paint colors for making this kitchen and oak cabinets less ghastly? Just recently re-painted this condo I just bought and laid light maple floors. The rooms look great, but makes this old-school oak stick out like a sore thumb. How can I neutralize this space, especially the loud and warm cabinets? This kitchen opens up to a living/dining combo painted in Benjamin Moore Monroe Bisque. Just need an interim design solution until I do a full kitchen remodel. Apartment Therapy - Open Thread 528 |

I only have a great hardwood/laminate floor recommendation for your floors: Venetian Flooring Systems. Cheaper than any place I looked at and they will do your floors in one day. Apartment Therapy - Good Questions: Designer, contractor or kitchen professional recommendation? |

Wow, this space looks almost exactly like what I have for my new condo's livingroom. The patio door wall is a full wall with a long horizontal window. My challenge is that it's a small space , plus I'd like to somewhat utilize the kitchen bar area. I've got a 62 inch entertainment tv bench, a 3-seater 72 inch sofa and a large sitting chair with wide arms. Would love thoughts on how to configure the space with the furniture and how to open it up. My front door opens up where it is closest to the camera.
