What a great house..if the living space with the slated ceiling is the biggest embarrassment...I just don't see why it would be...I assume the biggest embarrassment was never photographed since every pic here is fabulous....the only fear I have is the house only has one bathroom...after growing up with 8 siblings with one bathroom...I can't deal... Great place...what great architecture...nicely done....had to laugh though that they had problems liking the drapes for the bedroom....because of all the things in the place I find the plaid drapes they settled on somehow off.... Love what they did. Like the kitchen and baths the most. The only opportunity are the air conditioning units that I find to be an eyesore. I would have preferred central air, since they already had to punch holes for electrical etc... I think that is the route I would have taken. I didn't think my house was cluttered, but it did have more stuff than I needed...I had downsized from a single family home to a condo because I didn't use half the rooms.. That forced me to get rid of allot of stuff, but I still hung on to more than I needed. I started to slowly get rid of stuff again like the VCR I never use, the nic nacs that I liked, but didn't love, if I haven't used it in a year it's gone.. I got a shredder and got rid of my mortgage papers from my first house etc... The more I do the better I feel about it and the stuff I love stands out. Great apartment. But the biggest indulgence was not the new fabric, but the gut renovation of what looks like a recent update. I kind of agree with ray in Denver. Ithnk it would have been a greater design challenge to make something look great using the existing kitchen and bathroom. It always easier from a design perspective to rip out what's there. nothing cookie cutter about this place. I like the fact that so many people commented on the vulgar words. I am not a fan of the puffy letters, more of fan of the words, but I am sure as she reads all these comments she just says Fuck It. LOL. It also is great take on the corney words and sayings people put on their walls like Inspiration, Love, etc...
