I've officially entered the last few Cures, and never completed them. This time, no official entry, and I'm getting a ton done. I found a great cabinet that let me get rid of both a big dining room table and a shelf and p, moved a mirror into a much better space, and have one big bag ready for goodwill, and am looking for more to get rid of. I've bought flowers, cooked, and started cleaning. Yay!

Does anyone remember a post a while back that showed a ceramic plate that went over the top of the radiator so you could put things there, with grooves to keep it in place? I think it was English...? I've searched the archives and can't find it, but swore I saw it on here.

Alternately, if anyone does know what I'm talking about, links to places to purchase would be amazing. Thanks!

I've started the Cure 2x before and never followed through, so am determined and excited for this round, I'm doing sort of a hybrid Cure--part full house, part 1 room, and then part Green as well. I switched to green cleaning products last year, so that's taken care of, and I will recycle as much stuff as possible.

I have to put together a Style Tray, though a lot of it I already know what I want to do.

So far I've taken 2 bags to Goodwill and a bunch of books to the communal shelf in the basement, given away a pair of boots, and fixed a cabinet door. Would like to go through clothes and shoes today to get rid of more stuff.

Today I plan to mop the floors, cook, and my new sitting space will be taking a long bath after I've scrubbed the bathroom.

Anyone else feel like their place is too messy for the 'before' pix?

Love this--so many interesting ideas and textures. Love the feel.

Can you tell me the source for the doormats? Framed like that they're absolutely stunning, and might be the perfect answer for when I remove the drop ceiling in my living room and have to deal with molding to non-molding. Thanks!

Anyone know where I can find that green chair? It's exactly what I need for my living room. Thanks!

I'm just starting the Cure! Got derailed last fall after being dumped, and had a slow start this time, but yesterday I got rid of a lamp, shredded a huge pile of paper, created an outbox, washed all the windows in the apt., vacuumed, did laundry and dishes, and scrubbed the bathroom from top to bottom. (The xl chocolate frappucinos work wonders...). Goal for today/the rest of the weekend is finish shredding paper, sweep and wash all the floors, get flowers, and start feeding the outbox. And take the before pictures.

Oh, my fingers are crossed crossed crossed. I recently bought a rug, and of course then needed a vacuum cleaner. Except that the one I bought seems to be confused--instead of removing the dust and cat hair, it sprays dust all over the room, the carpet, the cat, etc. *sigh*

A working vacuum would be a fabulous way to start the Cure next week.

I'm jumping around a bit on the tasks--I may follow Aulaire's renegade cure idea, actually. But I've finished washing all the floors, cleaned and vacuumed the lr rug, started a new outbox and gotten rid of a vacuum that didn't really work and some books, gone to the farmer's market to get stuff to cook dinner, hung the photos in the office and straightened up a lot, so I'm not complaining. Also cleaned some of the kitchen, though still need to do the deep-cleaning.

Jess2Nola,

I used Benjamin Moore's Iced Cube Silver, which is one shade lighter than what you're looking at, in my bathroom. I like it, and something a bit darker would be cool.

Picture is hopefully in the link below (actual color is a bit darker in real life--the flash washed it out a bit):

For the Cure, I'm doing a mixture of Deep Treament--cleaning and decluttering--and then hopefully doing the 1-room cure on my bedroom, which needs help.

So far I've removed 1 item, tossed 3 bags of trash, bought flowers, and started a new outbox. Still have to finish the photos, etc.
