I am a collage-er, a consumer, and a collector. I find I am drawn to and collect inspirational pins that help spur my creativity and at the same time, feed my escapist tendencies. I also like to grab pins that link to items I might wish to purchase in the future. I must admit I am a bit uneasy with sharing everything I pin. Knowing that my followers get a peek at my daily activity feels a bit unsettling at times. Is that weird? Also, I am careful to credit artist's works and I follow links to their origin so I am not inadvertently promoting a business or stepping on copyright toes. Does anyone else do this? We should all care about copyright.

Yes! I made a batch of THE most horrible candy cane brownies from a recipe I got off of Pinterest. They looked so cute with the red and white stripes of the candy embedded in the chocolate. Well, the candy burned and turned the brownies into a big melted mess. Pan from hell to clean! Never again! I use my food pins for ideas only unless I know the source.

I researched kitchen scales for a year before I put this one on my Christmas list. My son gifted this to me and I love it!! I especially love the ease of storage in my small kitchen.

We do it like the Calavo Avocado Growers suggest with one personal addition:
4 ripe Calavo avocados mashed, 2 ripe tomatoes, chopped, 1 small onion, diced, 1 Serrano chile, minced 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped, 1 tsp dried oregano, 1 clove fresh garlic finely minced, juice from 1 fresh lime, hot pepper sauce, salt and pepper to taste. We add 1 tsp cumin...love it! Remember to leave a pit in the middle of your guac...it really does keep it fresher longer.
