So, is this to use for cooking or is it to be eaten like cream cheese--spread over crackers, etc?

Well, sadly for the company that the vagueness of the product basically doesn't encourage me to even try it. I've also not seen the ads on tv.

ramen or cereal or ham and cheese eggs (breakfast for dinner), but only when my husband is away. He hates it when I do that.

Uwajimaya is ok, they're a bit on the pricier side if you don't know other Asian stores to go to. I'm talking about the Portland area (Oregon) one, btw.
I think they have somewhat a competition (in size and selection) with Fubonn, but Fubonn is in the SE side of town while Uwajimaya is located in the SW. I like Fubonn better because I find them cheaper while they're comparable in size, cleanliness. But I must admit Uwajimaya has lots of 'cute' :) items on display (imho that is) unlike Fubonn but I digress...

I love many aspects of cooking, I'm not the most patient person and a lot of things may distract me, but not when I'm prepping and cooking. I get calm and 'zen'--it's like being in my own world. Sometimes I don't notice anything outside the kitchen.

I have a love/hate relationship with cutting onions. It often stings my eyes and I end up 'crying,' but yah, I always think 'Damn, this is one good onion!' B/c only great onions make you cry LOL :)

where I came from, we're used to avocado eaten sweet.
We drizzle with chocolate syrup and/or sweetened condensed milk.

Unfortunately, am not too big on avocado growing up. But since my son is into avocado big time, I may have to start eating it again, it's healthy :)

My husband thought it'd be great to give me a Magic Bullet for X-mas 2 yrs ago. It's a yes and no.

While it was good (ok..DECENT--you'll see some chunks of fruits left although you're blending it for the longest time) for individual, smaller serving type of smoothies/blended drinks or small serving pesto/hummus. It certainly didn't do anything else it promised (the chopping, etc). Only myself and and our son drank (almost) daily smoothies, so we're keeping it.

Now I want to buy a food processor.

Pizza.

We used the oven (test drive it basically) at the new house to cook it.

Oh wow. It's been more than a decade since I saw one.

Growing up in Indonesia, that's what we put our food in-instead of plastic containers, we put them there to deliver them somewhere. But I believe ours were made from steel or tin, not exactly wood-based.

Yeah, it'll be good for picnic. :) My bro is working there now and he has his lunch delivered via rantangan, very convenient for him.

I love to eat, cook, and just about everything food :)

And people often wonder why I'm so slim when I have a big appetite and seem to be able to eat all sort of food in front of me. Moderation is KEY and portion control is essential to maintain weight especially when you're not exercising as often as you'd like (I don't gorge on food). That's just my 'secret' to maintain weight. I never say 'no' to a certain food, I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to food :)

Also, I don't indulge constantly.
I try to always balance everything out, if one day I have a bigger lunch, I'll have a smaller dinner. If one day I have adventures in one indulgence after another, the next day, I'll have my basic healthy light meals.

Ah. We left the apartment we lived in the longest 6 months ago.

It wasn't exactly 'beloved,' but our son grew up there. It's a 714 sqft 2 bedrooms, renovated...very lovely aesthetically unfortunately, it has some foundation, roof and mold problem (we found it out 6 months before we left for our first house). The management tried to help with the mold and roof problems as best as they can (hey, can't help that the building wasn't built well).

::sigh::
I did miss the apartment (despite my complains when we found out the roof was leaking, and there was mold in our closet) LOL. We made friends there, our son has his friends in the same complex, we know the area very well and it's only 4 minutes away drive from our work and a minute away from a grocery shop (we walk everywhere there).

But of course the 'missing' feeling only lasted for like a month, now I totally appreciate our first new house :) We enjoy putting our signature on it. We can do many things and we're not answering to any rental management!

You're not alone, Octavia82.

I prefer my scrambled eggs to be ..drier...than the recipe's. But it doesn't make me sick to look at 'em and yes, I've had the 'creamier' version before and not too keen on them (my hub made the creamy version for me--but he usually uses milk--I will tell him about the cream).

Cup of jo with 2% milk and 2 tsp of sugar.
A cup of cereal with milk (not finished).

Usually I don't even bother with breakfast. I go for brunch or just lunch and dinner.

Hi hi! Thanks for sharing with us! I'm very pleased to see an Indonesian house here.
I'm from Indonesia (now a US resident) too!
Wow, this looks very westernized indeed. The kitchen and most of the furniture. Very different than my childhood home there :) Although the tile floors..ahh, I actually miss seeing those around! So is there an IKEA in Jakarta by any chance?
