If you want to go all-out, Geek Chic makes really lovely furniture built specifically for gaming needs. They have on item in particular that has an interesting look to it, and would be awesome at accommodating board game boxes of a variety of sizes & shapes (plus storage for extra pencils, dice, paper, whatever you need: Neat, Attractive, Exposed Board Game Storage? I just hate the stores that have the check-yourself-out option, but only 1 other lane open with a real person checker. The machines to check yourself out are super slow, designed to exacerbate even the tiniest user error, and just, in general, suck. I've just stopped going to grocery stores where the only options are 1) take forever to check myself out or 2) wait in line for the one checker they have working. What's Your Grocery Store Pet Peeve? I have a Dodocase, but it seems to work well until you drop it when the case is open. The corners are a weak point: if you drop your ipad, the wood on the corner will crack, and render the case non-functional unless you have a very good glue on hand. I grant that I don't have this exact model of case, but the corners appear to be the same as on the model I have. Basically, it's a wonderful, beautiful protective case...until it is called upon to do the protecting. DODOcase Spring Summer iPad Case Tech Test Lab |

Unless the "table" is a precariously balanced board, I don't see why not. The only time I avoid it is when we're at a restaurant with a group and the table is so covered with dishes there's no elbow room. Elbows on the Table: Yes or No? Reader Survey |

Location. We're in the process of buying our first house now, and the Chosen One is going to add another 5-10 minutes to an already long commute. It has a few extras we don't really need (a hot tub, more space than we'd want), but it has things that we wanted as must-haves but never really expected to get, so it's worth the sacrifice. Because of the rates & whatnot, we wanted to try to skip buying the first house and move right to the second house, if that makes sense, so it's a lot bigger than our current needs, but will be just right when we start filling it with little'uns! I use mine all the time at home. Almost the the exclusion of my personal laptop. I mostly use my laptop for downloading things that I can't download straight to my device (like books on audible, or library books), and to play games on Steam. I don't think everyone needs one in addition to a tricked-out laptop or desktop, but for most people's personal use a full-blown computer is kind of unnecessary: you don't need that much stuff to check your email, surf the web, and maybe play some solitaire or other basic games. Tablets (or netbooks for that matter) are a cheaper alternative in many cases. Reader Survey: How Often Do You Use Your iPad? |

Very good idea! There's actually a kind of hinge that would probably suit this kind of use better, they're usually called something like "overlay," "European," or "cabinet" hinges that serve both as a hinge and essentially as a stopper so that it smoothly slides from closed to a flat 180 degrees. I wanted drawers like this before, I became very familiar with Home Depot's hinge options ;) Hide Your Printer in a Dresser Drawer PB&J Stories |

Hmm. I think I would actually go for it. We aren't big wine drinkers, but I like the flavor for cooking and baking. It would be kind of nice to be able to add it in without feeling obligated to finish off the bottle. Dry Gourmet: Non-Alcoholic Cooking Wine |

I know this is a bit bigger of a scale, but I really need a second oven. We're buying a house this year, and after hosting Thanksgiving made in a tiny galley kitchen (and having my parents make it clear that holidays will now and forever be my responsibility), there's no way the new house won't have a bigger kitchen and two ovens. I bake a lot, I cook a lot, and fortunately my hubby agrees that I deserve proper cooking space! Good Idea: Making An Honest Kitchen Wish List |

Shaped cookies actually work better when they're frozen. Cold/frozen cookie dough holds it's shape better, so chocolate chip cookies are softer in the middle, and shaped cookies don't get that bloated look. Why You Should Be Making Holiday Cookies Right Now |

Speed is good, but only so useful if the dryers still take an hour to get the job done. When a dryer can do the job quickly (and maybe untangle the fitted sheet that balls itself up every time), then I'll really be impressed... The Next Laundry Frontier: Speed |

Yeah, I can hardly bring myself to use it on anything but popcorn. Not because it isn't good on other stuff, I'm just so addicted to truffle popcorn I don't want to "waste" it. I'm in Seattle, where Amazon Fresh is available and super-easy. I work from home, and sometimes grocery shopping is a nice excuse to get out of the house, but sometimes it's just a huge hassle. And since I'm not getting in the car (or other mode of transportation) at the end of the day and driving past grocery stores, I wind up with a lot of "oh crap, it's getting late and I don't have time to go to the store, cook dinner and eat it"...but online grocery ordering and a dash of meal planning, which isn't really my strong suit but oh well, make these moments at least less frequent. I think as long as your smart about it, it's not a big deal. I'm sure bad things can happen if you post a picture with external shots, your address & your licence plate number (especially if you use foursquare or places), and also have pics of your expensive electronics and other treasures. Not a chance. Our dog's not small, and he actually doesn't like jumping on furniture (old bones), but even if that wasn't the case it would still be a no. I love him, but he's a shedding dander machine with feet dirtier than my shoes, who thinks rolling in interesting smells is the finest perfume. If he was a person with the same hygiene I sure wouldn't share a bed with them. Survey: Does Your Pet Sleep in Your Bed? | Apartment Therapy Re-Nest |

Coconut flour is really low in the carb department, but still is nice & sweet. You have to experiment with it though, as it's so high in protein, it can make for some really dense treats. Holiday Cooking and Baking Without Sugar or Flour? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |
