had netflix. Got tired of the lack of quality items. Very few actually good popular items, and then they only show up months later. Redbox gives out enough promo codes to keep up with the new stuff. The rest of the stuff, who the heck watch that crap. Movies that no one has ever heard of. Why take the time to stream them? Just to get their "we offer XXXX streaming items" numbers up

If you find some TV series to watch, it is nice to be able to go through them, until they decide to stop streaming a few random episodes or a season in the middle. Or had problems with random episodes that would continually lock up or audio would go off. So no good there. If I had extra money sure, but I just can't see it being really worth it.

I share a Hulu+ account with someone else. I am not really a fan. I am paying, but there are still commercials. WTF. Plus too much of the content is computer only, so I can't even watch it through my BR player in all it's glory. They need to figure out what they are doing.

Please, for the love of god, learn how to light a photo and white balance it correctly.

All of your shiny white devices look like they were set out in the texas sun for a year. I

t is not that hard to light and balance a photo. Especially if you are a contributor for a blog. Even more so to be part of a well known blog like AT. Just look through your post history, every shot you take looks like that.

Laser printer. Economical. Lasts forever on one toner cartridge. Clearance models can be found for cheap.

because paying for Office gets you quality support and good updates? Unlikely. Their suite has become so bloated and horrible I don't even want to use it anymore.

the targus slim case and vuscape are fantastic. we have both.

it took me awhile to find the case i wanted and i am very picky. they have a really nice material. Not leather, not fake leather, kind of a plastic/fabric with a waterproof coating. magnetic on/off. good protection of edges. tilts for movie viewing. the slimcase is like a snap on hardshell back with a flip over cover. Better then the too thin smart cover that offers no real protection. Holds it very securely.

only downside is the damn hole they put in the back to show off the apple logo. really who cares? stop doing that. it just makes it so stuff can get in your case. makes no sense to me.

I have had other cases and these are by far the best.

they are for the "new" ipad but they fit the 2 as well.

Reflactors?

I would add a few things. A light, compact lighting stand with an attachment for your flash. Either a wireless trigger or cable trigger, and a compact umbrella. That way you can do easy off camera lighting on the go.

I think people are too scared away from flash with images of blown out highlights and sharp black shadows. Instead a flash bounced in an umbrella can light a room with a perfect warm glow. I get tired of people being "natural light" photographers. Not that there is anything wrong with natural light, but too often it means "I don't know how to properly use flash" especially In situations where it would really benefit.

every post about password strength makes me remember this

http://xkcd.com/936/

i know i do a stupid thing, but i still do it. i use the same password for a lot of things. but i can only remember so much, so something has to give. If there could be a nice standard, that would help. Sites keep on adding the next thing, more characters, caps, numbers, symbols, emoticons, hiakus...

usually these ultra small drives suffer in speed which is where their big brothers still shine. as the physical size goes down and storage goes up, speed can be a huge issue. Moving 32gb at less then ideal speeds is not fun.

lasers do not necessarily cost more up front. My BW laser was $70 and i am still using the same toner cartridge 1.5 years later... i gave up on inkjet for home. I really have no need for it. If i want to print photos I will send them to walgreens.

some lasers can produce really good images too. not high end inkjet quality, but then again it all depends on what you are doing.

wired all the way. i like the planet bike protege 9.0. It has all the info i want and was fairly cheap when I got it. Battery died recently, but it lasted a few years. the sensor has been in the same spot all this time. I like that you can do multiple bikes too so i put my dad's recumbent in for when i take a joyride.

we have one to rule them all which is both a benefit and a problem. for apps it is great. for the calendar sure, we like to be able to see other's appointments (just my wife, our 6 month old and myself). I love that she can take photos, mostly of my son, and they show up in my photostream.

The problem. I really dont want to pay for any additional icloud space and the 5gb is not large enough to support 2 devices this way. Especially with the larger photos from the new ipad. i think $20 for an additional 10gb of space is pretty steep. Especially with dropbox i have 9gb for free (and you could have up to 18gb for free, or 100gb for $100 where as with icloud you get 55 gb for $100).

Who knows I will probably bite the bullet and upgrade to the lowest amount. I am just a stingy guy.

if you get a good drill, 18v won't really be needed. I have a new dewalt drill driver / impact driver set with the lithium batteries. It is only 12v and it is amazing. More powerful then my 18v set i had before lithium was an option. The dewalt set is nice because both of them have LED lights. Seems like a "want" instead of a "need" but honestly the little light is very helpful

Benefits: lighter, smaller, easier to carry around.

i just moved and had to de-assemble and reassemble everything, and it has done it all, on one charge.

i don't see this working. i don't want to be waving my arms around all day. your arm needs some place to rest, like on your desk. i have a 27" display. i don't want to be moving my arms all over the place when a small flick of my wrist on the mouse covers the same distance.

with tablets, it makes sense, they are right in front of of, holding them. usually in a natural position as well, not eye level in front of us. i am not going to put my display on my lap...

interesting "how-to"... drill hole in case...done....

i would finish the hole up with small plastic edging that they make in a variety of sizes to fit in a hole like that or some kind of a grommet. anything to make it a little more finished then a drilled hole in the back of your case. Or if you had the kind of hole punches used in book binding it would make a much neater hole to pound that through it then a drill which would rip the edges up while it drills.

to me it seems like a case for a 1st gen would just be sloppy since the size drastically changed between 1 and 2. Extra case, extra weight, making it bigger then it needed to be. etc.

switch to a BW laser and you'll never go back.

I got mine on clearance for $60. I have had it for 2 years, I actually print all the time at home now and I still have over 50% of my toner.

for day to day things, an inket has no place.

with a dry application you have to worry about dust like crazy. i applied a dry protector in a small bathroom after running the shower on hot for a bit and stil had just problems. in the end i did a flawless job, but it took some work.
