This really is different than any other shipping container house project I've seen in that it keeps the industrial look but not the hard edges. It's fun. I still like the idea of camouflaging the exterior but this is nice.

Aside form that tiny quibble, this is a great round-up.

Sorry. I don't disagree even slightly about the necessity of securing my WIFI connect, but I don't see how letting neighbors squat on my connection could be illegal.

I just installed Day One for Mac after having it on iOS for some time and am loving it. Simple to use with a great interface and kind of stupendously gorgeous to look at. It takes the now-common Tweetie-inspired black sidebar on left UI to a whole new level.

According to the SGP website, the cases are not leather but a premium, high-grade, eco-friendly faux leather urethan (their spelling) that looks, feels and smells just like natural products.

Timmeh42 has apparently never seen an old school LED display which were used in the 70's PRIOR to the advent of LCD technology, mostly in watches which required a button push to activate the display.

When always on liquid crystal display technology came out that didn't require a button push, it quickly replaced LED's, but in my (and apparently the creators of this app) opinion never looked anywhere near as cool.

While this app is neither LCD or LED, it's plainly trying to recreate the LED look and is as legitimately "RETRO" as it gets.

I'm not sure that coloring them with a marker would be easier but I confess to having had that thought about tape.

I was going to ask why the Optoma over the Epson, but then I checked out the price. Agree that projectors are the choice for movie watching.
I've got a non-home theater Epson I use for training presentations hooked up to my macBook and even at the grainy 800x600 dpi resolution, the movie theater ambiance it provides far exceeds my 36" flatscreen. Trading in for a better projector and selling the flat screen on eBay.

These have been on my radar since they came out, but the penholder trick is the clincher. That would look so boss on the side of my monitor. The only reason I haven't it the bullet so far is that I move stuff around too much for an adhesive solution but on second thought they'd be perfect to manage the cables on the back of my desk. On my way to container store now. Any chance they work as an iPhone stand?
Great post.

Alarms and Divvy are the two I can't live without. NameChanger less so since it's only occasional. I have Magic Prefs but it's pretty useless on my non magic macBook. HAve nocturne too, don't use it much. Have to check out SoundSource.

@omahamonster Did you watch the video. Completely different functions. Spaces allows you to shift screen spaces and doesn't have anything to do with resizing windows inside the spaces. All Divvy does is allow you to resize windows to fit the space your in. Works great with Spaces and HyperSpaces, which is what I use.

Probably not on here because they're mostly known for residential work tied to a particular region, but I'd still love to see Neutra and Koenig. Buying the Aalto when it comes up for sale.

I'd add more color, but I usually think that. It would be nice to see what's facing on the opposite side instead of 3 shots of the same view. I love open spaces like this and especially appreciate the modular units under the windows. Great space.

I carry an iPhone around me wherever I go but I still prefer a quick flick of my wrist to digging around in my pocket.
I picked up this $300 Alessi 5017 Chronograph for $99 about 3 y ears ago from Y Living because of a price typo on their website which they insisted on honoring even though I said I wouldn't hold them to it.
Great outfit. Great watch. I wear it everywhere and it looks the same today as when I got it.

Sometimes my cat likes FroliCat, sometimes not. My 2 year old Lab/Shepherd mix, on the other hand, is obsessed, and unlike the cats, still hasn't figured out the connection between the emitter and the light beam. (It's possible to adjust the radius of the turning circle.)

Both my cats love Fling-a-mastring.

Interesting. Not enough to dissuade me, but I'll keep my eyes open for the next study.

I'm still not sure whether the studies tested sitting on exercise ball or an exercise ball chair, which isn't the same thing and in which the various different designs would be a factor.
