This seems to work a tiny bit, but my battery is still draining rather quickly.
I've had it off the charger for an hour and 20 minutes and my battery is already below 80%. And this is with my phone in standby for most of the time, the rest of the time was using text messaging, Spotify and Words with Friends.

Day 3: Find Inspirational Photos For Your Home
The 20/20 Home Cure

I'm jumping into this Cure just a little bit late, but I've been decluttering and rearranging my apartment a little bit over the past week, so I'm not too far behind.

I've been living in my lovely 1 bedroom apartment for almost 3 months now, by myself. Prior to that I was sharing it with my now ex-boyfriend. I don't really have the need to do a complete overhaul to "move on", but I've finally built up the motivation to make my apartment my own. So perfect timing for this Cure. :)

Starting and filling an Outbox will be pretty easy for me. I love having an Outbox. And Goodwill is really close to my apartment, so it makes emptying the Outbox on a weekly basis very doable.

Removing one item should be pretty easy too, the trouble will simply be identifying what item to remove. I'll report back when I figure that one out. :)

I've found Android phones (granted I haven't used all of them) to be the most non-intuative phones I've ever used.
Although, if you REALLY want Flash on your phone, then get an Android. But I recommend trying all the models you're considering before making a purchase. They're really all quite different.

I did this yesterday! Yay me!
I had a box in the living that was crying to be unpacked (yeah, we moved in 6 months ago) and I decided that unless absolutely necessary to my life, everything in that box would be gotten rid of. And it was.

I still need to clean one room (bathroom), collect inspiring images and buy flowers.
Work is killing me this week, but I'm hoping today will give me a break (and some energy) to do an hour of curing so I can catch up. :)

Oh! I almost forgot!
A great resource for inspiration, if you didn't save every copy of Domino, is The Domino Magazine Files flickr group.

Time to break out the Domino mags!
I don't have many, but it's better than nothing.

I also really like RealSimple.

Oh yay! Kitchen curing time!
I somehow forgot about this over the weekend, but fortunately I have plenty of time to get things done this week.
My kitchen is pretty sparse in terms of "food clutter", since we moved about 6 months ago and we've been seriously neglecting our kitchen (lots of take-out, which makes me sad).
I'm excited to clean our kitchen from top to bottom and actually USE it!

Oh, I need this so badly!
I've been trying to do the whole "clean/organize one thing a day" and it's worked a little bit, but without a list to work from, I get off track easily.

And life is too busy for the hardcore 8 week Cure (unfortunately). I'm so glad you switched up the format, Maxwell! I can't wait for Monday!

I tried to clean the old (but pretty!) tile floor in my bathroom with vinegar and baking soda and that did absolutely nothing. Though I didn't even think about using Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I know what I'm doing when I get home tonight!!!
Oh, my exciting life. :P

Ooooh, you have the crazy windows that open inward too!
I never appreciated regular windows as much as I do now that I have the old school variety.

I lived in a Craftsman house that was renovated into 5 apartments. It was fantastic! It was so nice to always feel like I was coming home to my big beautiful house, even though I only had the tiny studio apartment in the back. I loved it so much! The owners really did a phenomenal job renovating the place and I was so sad to eventually leave it.

I'm hoping to do some ikeahacking this weekend. We need more storage in our apartment in order to actually END this unpacking process. :)

Vast and awesome? Yes.
Small and cool? No.

There's no doubt that this is a fantastic apartment, but it doesn't seem to fall into the "Small, Cool" variety.

I love not having a microwave! There's absolutely nothing that I can't make because I don't have a microwave. EVEN oatmeal! All oatmeal needs is hot water. Just get yourself a kettle or a regular saucepan, fill with water, put on stove and ta-da! Hot water!

This is fantastic. You did an amazing job with your space. While it's not my style (though I do like a bit of Victorian opulence every now and then), it IS very cohesive and inviting. Absolutely NOTHING about it is offensive.
I love it. :)
