The Walter the Farting Dog books by Wm. Kotzwinkle weren't around when I was a child. But I love them now and friends' children to whom I've given Walter books also love them. My Favorite Children's Books Maxwell's Finds |

I loved seeing all the animals in their homes. Our 2 dogs, Emily & Yoda, definitely delight in our house much more than their humans--they take full advantage of the open floor plan to chase each other and play fetch; they use the wall of windows to keep a watchful eye on the birds and other would-be invaders; on warm days, they chill out on the tile in the entry. Oh to be a dog. Stylish Pets with Stylish Homes |

I find something discomfiting about baboons, sea otters, giraffes, etc. being photographed on what appears to be a wooden floor in a French Country/Shabby Chic/? setting. Ms. Montrose's website says something about the animals being rescued and loved which are good things.
