Oh, I love it....! I had an almost identical kitchen in an apt bult in the 1920s. Same stove and even the same kettle (still have the trusty red kettle)! We weren't allowed to do much, but we made it work! Kudos to you :)
I have a house now with a bigger kitchen, but this really makes me miss that sweet little sweatbox :p

Oh how I enjoyed this post! Esp after just returning from a trip with my boyfriend to Manarola and Treviso, Italy! We would much rather skip the big cities (despite missing the the big ticket items) in exchange for an authentic, quiet experience, sans other tourists...
Beautiful photos!

I'm an elementary art teacher in FL and every year a popular project is our Andy Goldsworthy group project! I show them Rivers and Tides and then if the weather allows we head outside to collect and create art! Some have a hard time not taking it home, but like Andy, we photograph and video what we can :) He's one of my personal favs! Kudos for sharing him with AT readers!

@Klaus
I absolutely would lump Gaudi in, look for images of Casa Batllo interior and you'll see it :) Very much influenced by nature, which I think is what puts him in the Nouveau category :)

Just got back from Barcelona a week ago! I studied Gaudi a bit at UofTN while earning my art degree, but didn't realize how much of an influence he had on the entire city...even the sidewalk tiles! By far my favorite era in design/art history! Thanks for featuring!

As a Tennessean who now lives in Daytona Beach (#1 and #3 on the list, wahoo, lol), I gotta say, both cities have some of the best people in the world there! Wonderful places to visit, just choose you're hotel carefully...I advise to always ask the locals, we usually know which ones are seedy:p I've always told friends visting DB to avoid the Desert Inn! It's a fact of life folks, there are dirty hotels in every city I'm sure! FYI, the owner of the Desert Inn, Daytona, was arrested last week for possible involvement in a child porn ring. Double ew.

it is nice, but I'm wondering about the lighting? I'm sure in person the green is lovely, but the lighting makes it a little garish...I'm about to do an accent wall in a similar green in my tiny galley kitchen but I'm a little worried looking at it here! but the shelves do make a difference :)
