I am a bit tired of judging everything: except design. Is this a design-focused blog still?

I am for whatever floats anybody's boat, not my life.

This is delightful! If you remember, could you share your paint color? I am going to be doing a greyish nursery as well and I love this color. Beautiful mural as well!

Love this as well. My same thought-the growth chart is great. I love the color scheme so much, even though I usually don't like yellow.

Have seen this idea before and love the concept. Does anyone know where I can find freezer paper without ordering it online? I've checked a few stores and cannot find any. Thanks

I have a baby and we currently use these to decorate the room, but will use them as flashcards when she's older. They are also a floor puzzle on the backs. They are truly beautiful images and very hard cardboard.

This is stellar. I am obsessed with dollhouses (only in my mind and in all the bookmarks I have for dollhouse related items). I am in love. I can't wait to make one for my daughter-although I know it's more for me:) I'm most excited about creating art for it!!

My friend (not a mommy) and I make "craft dates" about every other weekend. Her partner and mine go into the "man cave" and my friend and I craft in the living room. Just one kiddo, and she is 6 months, so she plays in her walker, on the floor, by us, takes naps, goes and visits daddy, etc. It's definitely a slower process than when I was single and super crafty, but now I have noticed that I am very particular about what I want to craft and much more forgiving of myself when my Christmas tree skirt still sits in the craft closet just waiting to be completed.

Okay, so love these. In our last move I decided to start "fresh" and got rid of almost all of my beloved baking fun items. I kept one cookie cutter out of about 100- a dog bone. You'd be surprised what you can make it look like when you lop off a part here or there-some great looking cookies and some very inappropriate looking ones. Perhaps it's time to slowly build back up starting with this! A dog bone, really? That was the ONE I kept?

We do an external hard drive as well and print photobooks every few months of the highlights. Also are going to back up onto a site. My parnter's parents house burned last year and they lost all photos-all those cute baby pics gone! Even the awesome bribe-worthy Milli Vanilli want to be pic is gone!

I second that. Visit yes, move, no. I have grown up in the NW and can now not afford to live where I grew up. Crazy. But, the treehouse, how amazing. I stayed in one up on Salt Spring Island years ago at a lovely hostel (now closed) and it was so much fun to be 30 feet in the air (until it was the middle of the night and you had to climb down to use the composting toilet). Magical. So much so that my friend and I got tree tattoos to memorialize that trip.

Read all the time, never posted, but that earlier comment makes me boil!! As an educator for 12 years and someone who's very good friend has their Master's in Montessori (but who left teaching after 3 years when he realized that there really is more than ONE way to do something), give me a break!
If I had extra money I'd buy them just to "decorate" with and then let my daughter "play" with them- no teaching, just playing. I forgot that Montessori owns the alphabet.
