Why don't you try to set up your laptop on the lower, slide-out surface? That way your arms are level with the keyboard, and when you're not working on your laptop, you can easily stow it away.

If you prefer to keep your laptop on top, though, I recommend investing in a bluetooth keyboard and mouse that you can set up in your slide-out tray. After all, a higher chair may be the solution to your upper posture, but your feet still need as much support as you can give them :)
