Note that the angle of the first photo is deceptive. This is *not* a single roof line, half shingled and half metal. The new/metal section is *behind* the original Sears section, set back about 15' as far as I can tell.

Go to your local restaurant supply store--that's where the professional chefs shop, and where you'll find the highest quality at the lowest prices.

At minimum you need a skillet (for stir fry, chicken breasts, hamburgers), stock pot (for soups, pasta, potatoes, roasts), and a sauce pan (for sauces, vegetable sides, oat meal). Tri-ply stainless steel will preform well. Also, do yourself a favor, and buy one of the cheap but good Forschner 8" chef's knives.

You coats might be too thick. Try using very, very thin coats, and let each coat dry completely before applying the next.

Love it. 1982 couldn't have been that lean a year for Jobs, though. Those Magnepan speakers are pricey.

Yeah. I like the look of it, but the problem of the king and knight both beginning with "k" was solved by chess players a long time ago by referring the the night as "n".

I suspect that this is similar to the old chestnut of having people unplug cables and blow on the connectors. Blowing on the connects doesn't do anything, but it makes sure the user actually unplugs and re-plugs any (potentially loose) cables.

That doesn't look very ergonomic. He wouldn't have any leg room if he sat facing the monitors. If he faces the keyboard tray, he'll always be looking to the right. Also, there are very good cable management options available for Ikea's Galant series—better than hiding the wires behind file cabinets.

The reason for the LP boom is obvious to anyone who's listened to the same album release on the same equipment compared to CD: vinyl sounds better. A good LP has more dynamic range and better resolution than a CD. If we ever see the proliferation of high-quality lossless music downloads (24-bit resolution, 192 kHz sampling) then the LP might fade away, but CD's 16-bit resolution and 44.1 kHz sampling rate can't compete with analogue. Of course, if you're more concerned with convenience than sound quality, it's a different story.

Bright LED's are annoying, particularly when they pulsate like on the MacBooks. A little black electrical tape takes care of it, though.

What's missing here is the definite article: "The iPhone needs....." I suppose "your iPhone needs..." would also work. What would be strange in the AT "we" sense is if it said "Our iPhone needs to cool down."

The flowered tiles are the worst thing here. It is possible (and not very difficult) to replace individual tiles. Googling "replace cracked tile" should pull up lots of info.

Also, if you find them comfortable, in-ear monitors (IEM's) can provide very good sound and isolation without the need for a headphone amp. I own and enjoy the Head-Direct RE2's. They're only $40, but compare favorably with higher-priced Etymonics.
