Congratulations! These photos and your writeup do a great job showing how well-considered your renovation decisions were. I love it!

I love that you have pops of yellow in every single room -- makes the whole place seem so cohesive and fun. And that headboard is genius! And good tip about investing in attractive versions of things so you don't have to hide them. Are those lamps on the top shelves by the bed? Where did you find them?

I think the rug works super well here. I like how the criss-cross legs on the two blue stools against the wall match the X's in the rug pattern. Can you tell me where you got that awesome glass and metal coffee table?

Thanks! The green sofa is by Flexsteel. Dang, it looks like they've discontinued that style, which was called Bethpage. The orange one is Blu Dot's One Night Stand - a total splurge, but I like it (not just because it matches my little monster guy).

Oops, somehow I fouled up the Flor link there. But you get the idea.

Ha, that pink rug used to be a red rug - I didn't realize until I took these photos how much it had faded in the Santa Fe sun. It's Flor's modern mix, www.flor.com/modern-mix-red.html.

I love that "This ain't no disco" too! Although I couldn't get it in the photo, I actually have a disco ball in my bathroom, and that's a Disco Inferno album on the shelf. Cognitive dissonance in the bathroom, that's my goal.

Aren't those chairs great? I bought them from my neighbors who have a cool collection of midcentury Danish furniture. Search for "Dux scissor chairs". The Globe-Wernicke metal bookcase is a salvage find from Los Alamos National Laboratory (where I work). I had the legs powder coated for fun. Would have loved to powder coat the whole thing - the metal is pretty beat up - but holy price tag, Batman!

Ooh, I'm so jealous that you found your giant slide rule in a dumpster! You really did strike gold. I battled for mine on eBay, and it was totally worth it. Now to learn how to use it...

Thanks! I found the Godzilla movie prints on eBay for 10 bucks each about 5 years ago, and the French Paper Company prints in my bedroom were a lucky yard sale score. I'm a big fan of spending next to nothing on fun prints (and way too much on framing them!).

Hey, thanks for all the comments and feedback, everyone! I definitely have fun with my house. And I enjoy imagining that I'm the only person in my time zone with a connect-the-dots cow over my bed.
