In about 2-3 weeks I'm expecting a delivery from Simplicity Sofas, http://simplicitysofas.com, which makes ready-to-assemble sofas, including sectionals, that fit through tight doorways. I'll let you know how it goes. I ordered from them because I live in a walk-up with a tight turn on the stairs -- my old full-size box spring wouldn't make it-- and damned if I could figure out how to measure "clearance." Simplicity Sofas also had a nice range of fabrics for relatively inexpensive slipcovers. (Slipcover was a requisite for me but they get pricey.)

I just moved into a Brooklyn apt with a similar layout. Why place the wing chair facing away from the windows? What I love most is the view out my angled front windows, so I'm trying to figure out best chair/couch placement to maximize my enjoyment of the view and the light.

The historic architectural detail in this apartment is so lovely and striking I thought this was giving the space an unfair advantage in the competition. But the taste and sense of scale with which you've chosen pieces that work within it is impressive. It's elegant but also personal.

So generic. Cold and anonymous, like a corporate apartment for an executive passing through town.
