It's clearly a pantry. Get some nice matching food storage containers and store your dry goods there (or cookbooks, or serving dishes, or even a nice straight row of wine glasses!)

I have the most beautiful silverware set in storage (at my grandmothers). It has mother-of-pearl handles and the utensils are tiny - one day I'd love to use them for a fancy tea party.
When I was first offered them they looked grungy and tarnished, but my grandmother polished them all up for me. They're stunning. I'm so glad I said yes.

I have a hard time finding a place for my gym bag and yoga bag. They tend to live by the door. I don't have a closet, so that's just where they go. Oh well.

I do have an incredibly wobbly coat rack they could hide on, if only I could fix it. It's on my cure repair list!

I need to fix a piece of veneer on my kitchen cupboard that's peeling, and another piece that has come off. I'm also caulking around my tub, and attaching a piece of vinyl stripping. This list goes on, but those are my first two.

I'm having trouble managing my time to get everything done - I'm a bit behind, but I'm hoping to do some catch-up on Thursday. Wish me luck!

My kitchen needs cleaning. Under the sink needs some purging. And I need to work on eating food that's been in the cupboards forever!

Is it wrong that I get inspired by photos that are sort of cluttered? Maybe not so much cluttered as just, have a lot of stuff. It seems wrong... I can't help it.

My inspiration is a potential impending move - my boyfriend (who I live with) is applying to medical school residency programs. I'm currently in Toronto, but he's not sure where he might end up. Consequently, I'm not sure where I might end up. In case it's a smaller city, I've been trying to soak up everything I can. I've been taking craft classes like crazy, and I'm studying to write a professional accreditation exam for my field of work. We have a room we share as an office, but I know I distract him when I'm in there. He needs to study for school, so I mostly hang out in the living room. I'm fine with that, but I get sucked in by TV and don't get anything creative (or even non-creative!) done (all my stuff is in the office!). So, I'm working out a way to move some stuff into the living room, and to put some stuff in nice containers so my supplies will be more portable, and will hide away nicely. Phew, it felt good to write all that down!

I'm trying to switch to environmentally friendly cleaners, but I have a lot of partial bottles of non-green stuff still in the house. It seems a waste (and a hazard) to just throw them away or dump them down the drain. Any thoughts?

Oh, all of the above - books, craft supplies, kitchen stuff, electronics - basically anything I paid good money for and that could still be useful. I hate wasting, and getting rid of something that still has value is really difficult for me.
