"Discover Product Design (DPD) is a week-long MIT pre-orientation program which aspires to introduce incoming first-year students to product design. One of DPD's goals is for its participants to learn to appreciate the world around them through small projects designed to reveal a variety of perspectives within product design.

The posters in this album were designed by this year's students. The coordinators wanted to challenge the students to think creatively while working within given constraints. The students were shown the original 1939 "Keep Calm and Carry On" poster and were given an hour to jot down ideas and sketches for MIT-oriented posters inspired by the original."
