Right now I have a mutt (at least part Australian Shepard and 65lbs) and a deer chihuahua in my 750 square feet with a small yard. We go for two walks a day and spend about an hour in the yard and they are fine.

You can't always depend on breed to give an assessment of the dog's personality, it has a lot to do with how they were raised and you don't always have that info with rescues. I adopted my chihuahua from a coworker of my mother and he can be very aggressive. My father's chihuahua is a shelter dog and he is the sweetest, cuddliest dog I've met.

If you are willing to put in the time the dog needs for attention and exercise, any space is enough for any dog. My father drove a semi cross-country for years and always had a dog with him, ranging from a 8lbs chihuahua to a 150lbs rott. Of course, very few people can reasonably spend 24 hours a day with their dogs like he does, but it is possible to find a balance.

If you can, having two dogs is ideal when you work outside your home. They can play with each other and it cuts down on the boredom that can lead to destructive behavior.

The only thing it has in common with 6/17 post is the chandelier, which this design makes better use of. This room is far more colorful and richer looking. The design in the previous post was very bland.

My parents got me my cat for my 16th birthday. In the 13 years since, she has been consistantly inconsistant. I bought a small cat bed, nothing fancy, and the cat never used it. I put it away in the closet and years later when we got a puppy, I put it in his crate. As soon as I let the dog out of his crate, she walked in and curled up in the bed. She occasionally plays with cat toys, but she would rather steal things from me. She hoards pens, hair ties, and loose change. I found a twenty once in her favorite hidey-hole. When we still lived at home, she carried off the baby Jesus from the Nativity every year.

My mother invited herself, my grandma, and my aunt (who brought her four year-old son) to my apartment on moving day. Didn't call first, just showed up while we were unloading the truck. They wanted a tour, my cousin was trying to climb boxes, and my grandma started in on how disorganized everything was and lecturing about how we were doing things all wrong since we weren't doing them how she had suggested. I almost had a breakdown that day.

I haven't vacuumed or dusted or really cleaned much of anything since I hosted Christmas. I also haven't opened the door to the second bedroom where I shoved everything before my mother arrived on Christmas. Its stuffed it the point that when my sister asked if she could change the baby in there, I had to say no. And I had the dogs in my bedroom so she had to change him in the hallway.

I usually let the dishes pile up for three or four days. I always say that I'm going to wash them as soon as I use them, but I don't. Not because I really have anything against doing dishes, I just seem incapable of putting them away once they're dry. I put off the laundry until everything is dirty, and my bedroom chair is covered with the sweaters I've worn this week because I couldn't be bothered to hang them up in the closet that is less than two feet away. Tags from new clothes will pile up on my dresser for months and I stopped bringing the mail in two days ago because the recycling bin is full and its all junk mail. My bed is covered in pet hair, I think the cat must be balding.

And the lovely warm fuzzy blanket my Grandma got me for Christmas? Its shedding all over the rest of my bedding. My sheets are covered with brown fuzz. I washed the slipcover after the blanket and it is covered in brown fuzz. I found brown fuzz in the dogs water bowl this morning.

I know that when my home is clean and organized everything in my life just runs smoother, but I'm so exhausted from work that I just collapse in the evenings and weekends. I think I need a three days weekend so I can sandwich cleaning in between two days to rest. Although that doesn't solve the problem of the second bedroom.

I went out on Black Friday two years ago because we were getting my dad a new TV. I swore I would never do it again, but this year my sister has bribed me to go to Babies R Us for her. She's on bed rest and the glider she wants is 50% off. The kid's not even born yet and I already can't say no to him.

One of my coworkers is planning on going to the local mall at midnight Friday. There is some deal that if you buy $100 worth of stuff, you get a $50 giftcard. He planned out all his shopping with the sales to get as many of his presents for the $100 and will be going back on Saturday to get the rest with the giftcard.

I haven't decorated in the past, I've always felt that I spent a lot of time and money on my regular decor, why would I replace it with stuff I don't like. I am seeing some things I would consider this year, so maybe I will have to change my stance.

When I was growing up, we always decorated the first day of Christmas break since we would all be home.

As for Nordstrom's sign, if I didn't already love them, this would seal the deal. I saw a Christmas section in Macy's in September and was disgusted. I hate that most stores put out the Christmas crap the day after Halloween or earlier.
