A dot of perfume on a light bulb, then turn on the light. Instant good smell. I used to do that before having friends over.

My 2 year old loves grilled or roasted green beans and asparagus. Pancakes made with garbanzo flour and shredded veggies( zuchini, onion etc) and plain yogurt as dip. Pasta with edamame, sesame seads, olive oil and sesame oil, little bit of onion.

For me was buying my first skirt at Kmart. It felt like we made it in US. I arrived 1 year earlier from eastern Europe with $100. My husband got accepted into grad school and his salary was small. The first X-mass we had no money left. We had to wait until the 1st. It seems like a sad storry but actually we were very happy that we were able to come to US.
So when we were told that Kmart is an afordable store we went there. It seemed like Newan Marcus to us. $14 for a skirt?? It was beautiful but Goodwill had skirt for $1.
Fast forward one year, I got also accepted into grad school, our income doubles and finally I bought that $14 skirt. I was so proud. We made it. I was able to buy one item but didn't matter.
6 years later i got the job of my dream, bought a nice house and I have the Miele appliances. But hasn't felt as good as the yellow skirt.

Back in Europe, when I grew up, making the bed meant airing the sheets and pillows right in the window and store them over the day in the dresser. For most families, the bedroom was also the living room/family room.
Aired sheets and pillows smell great and feather pillows fluffen up very nicely.

I became a minimalist by need. Two years ago I had a baby and the first year was hard. New baby, full time job and cooking. Each morning I had only 5 minutes to dress for work, I had a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear. I was so stressed. One year ago, every piece of clothing that didn't fit or I did not LOVE I donated. One day, 75% of the clothes gone. I was ruthless since I had only few hours to de-clutter. No more shopping at Target or Marshalls. Very little shopping in general. The cutie loves parks not malls thus she helped me stay clutter free.

Love the concept! I wish I knew about it last year when we renovated the kitchen. Our whole kitchen is open shelves and we love it.
