I do a stuffed pumpkin except I stuff it with a nut loaf recipe with fresh sage and other herbs. I have made it vegetarian and vegan and it always turns out!

Oh... and always, every year an Easter Lamb cake! We used to buy them then I found an aluminum (not vintage) mold and we make them ourselves.

Tradition - absolutely! We're Czech-Catholic from Northeast Ohio - always have them. It was my job as a child to go through the dairy counter and find one without a smushed nose! A company in Chicago seems to have the largest distribution today. They added a butter turkey for Thanksgiving recently. Waiting for a butter something for Christmas this year!!!

We have our great-grandmother's rolling pin and a cast iron mortar and pestle. Grandmothers cookbooks, sadly, were lost 20 years ago in a puppy - related incident.

I will DVR the final episode and if Mike wins I will delete without watching. Bravo engineered the finale they wanted so Richard, as talented as he is, in the finale up against Mike, who he can beat. Even the fact that the challenge last night had a sudden death add-on was a total fix. Very disappointed. Richard and Antonia would have been a finale to beat all finale's and a TRUE all-star victory and redemption for either.

One of the best episodes ever... it was great to see everyone cook so well and support each other. The problem is they will probably cut two the first round of the finale!

Saturday night we got 3 inches of snow - we stayed in and made our first-ever pot of french onion soup (veg) with a small loaf of french bread. We melted yummy fontina on the slices and then dunked... BEYOND yummy.

OMG!! I have always wanted to find a way to display my large collection of cookie cutters at holidays (and year round) (they live in a large wicker laundry basket)... It would be fun to do a tree with nothing but lights and cookie cutters. I am totally inspired!

Christmas Eve = Chinese Take Out! A nice tradition we started years and years ago (20+), we eat and play board games and put the last minute ornaments on the tree. Leftovers are good to snack on while wrapping presents late night!

Christmas morning is yummy french toast, pork sausage and veggie sausage, hot and fresh cranberry/apple/pear chutney followed by stockings and presents!

OMG... we did this yesterday! Cranberry sauce is my favorite part of Thanksgiving (and Christmas). I wanted to start a new tradition by kicking off the day with cranberry sauce (I used a jar from TJ's) heated with a tiny bit of maple syrup on whole grain pancakes with Morningstar veggie sausage and TJ's jasmine green tea. Was a great way to start the holiday!

Last year we made a batch of the nutloaf (on The Kitchn last year) and stuffed two pumpkins with it for two Thanksgiving tables... it was an amazing presentation, perfect flavors of the season AND even the carnivores loved it!

Wow - looks tasty... will try this weekend - EXCEPT don't forget to omit the fish sauce to make this Veggie/Vegan.

Any suggestions on what to replace it with? Mirin maybe?

We made this last night! IT WAS GREAT. Re smelling or tasting like other food... we made an amazing stir fry in the cast iron skillet with onions, swiss chard, zucchini, lemon, spices, etc. and immediately salt-cleaned the skillet, spread the batter into the still hot skillet and popped it in the oven. No onion flavor at all!! Just yummy chocolate chip goodness.

I have 2 great cake stands that I use and a couple nice wood trays. I am def in the market for a three-tier stand but I want one that I can use for everything (veggies, appetizers, fruits, etc.) not just cupcakes. Target has a few good ones.

I did this for several years for Lent and then it stuck, full-time veg now. I love Meatlessmonday.com - great recipes that always work... I second Moosewood by Katzen - so good. I would like to add "Homestyle Vegetarian" by Bay Books and "The Great Vegetarian Cookbook" by Rosamond Richardson.

Above but def want to let you know - don't sweat it. The majority of the foods that we eat and love and enjoy everyday are vegetarian.

Note when you are eating out that lazy restaurants put chicken stock in everything. Trendy places fry in lard or duck fat.
