Paczki's are the greatest!! I moved to Missouri recently and had a horrible time trying to find them. I finally found them at the very last store I told myself I'd look at. Thankfully they had some!

Straub's is amazing! They always have new and fun items to try as well as pantry staples. This time of year I always pick up a bottle of Pure Peppermint Extract from them for baked goods and to flavor coffee. So good!

I wasn't as impressed by this beer as I was hoping. A lot of my friends have talked it up and other sites I've read as well. Maybe I was expecting too much?

@watchmespin mmm dewey's. they're great too. i almost always like their seasonal pizzas.

@magdelane i might have to try mangia italiano sometime. anything that's not st. louis style is fine by me!

Am I the only person living in St. Louis that dislikes St. Louis style pizza and provel? I just don't understand the desire to eat pizza toppings and sauce on top of a cracker... makes me shudder.

I live in St. Louis and I personally don't think there's an issue with the lack of TJ's around this area. Then again, I really only use TJ's for a few pantry items and produce. That's when I discovered all of the amazing farmers markets that (at least in my neck of the woods) are all over. My favorite is open all year round! Now I only need to go to TJ's once a month if that. But even still, it's staying local (just a 10 minute drive) and I really enjoy the things I buy there, so it's fine by me.

However, driving across the state for TJ's?? I mean they're good at what they do, but wow, not that good.

I completely agree with the Seal & Peel by Dap. My apartment used to be incredibly drafty - even my cat stopped enjoying her favorite window ledges because it was so cold. I used to lay in bed and feel the draft while lying 3 ft from my bedroom window - not good. Anyways, used Seal & Peel on all windows but one - in case there's any need for an open window (removing smells, smoke from cooking gone wrong, etc) and my heating bills have gone down drastically and my cat is back in her favorite windows.
