Dry swiffer cloths are good for dusting. However, I've tried the wet swiffer for cleaning floors and it is so streaky and I HATE the chemical smell...it just can't be good for bare feet or pet paws. So instead, I use a steam mop (costs just $20 more) and for detergent I make my own natural solution--water, vinegar, rubbing alcohol, spurt of blue dawn, and sprinkles of lavender oil and lemongrass oil. The vinegar is a great natural cleaner, the rubbing alcohol helps prevent streaking, blue dawn helps break down any grease, and the essential oils make the whole place smell amazing.
