I didn't realize how Brussels Sprouts grow (or that they're called BrusselS sprouts and not Brussel sprouts) until a couple of years ago when I saw them on a giant stalk at a farmer's market and was all "What is THAT?!" I never really ate them as a kid so I guess I never stopped to think about how they grow. What Have You Been Most Surprised (or Embarrassed) to Learn in the Kitchen? Reader Discussion |

I've been making a caprese cous cous salad a lot lately. I use pearl cous cous, then marinate some diced tomatoes in olive oil, garlic, a little balsamic and a little red wine vinegar then toss with the cous cous, chopped fresh basil, and cubes of fresh mozarella. It's good warm or cold! What Are Your Best No-Heat Tomato Recipes?Good Questions |

I'm not sure who can give their dog a bath in 15 minutes? Is this including prep time to get out the supplies, towels, hose, actually washing/rinsing the dog while they try to run away from you, giving them a few minutes to shake off, toweling off the dog, rinsing yourself free of all the soap/hair your dog shook all over you, then putting everything away. Maybe it's just me... 5 in 15: Five Spring Cleaning Chores To Conquer in Fifteen Minutes |

I've seen a lot of recipes lately on Pinterest and elsewhere for mug cakes, small individual serving cakes in a mug that you just microwave to bake. I haven't actually tried it, but it sounds perfect for making small portions. What Are Some Good Dessert Recipes for Just One or Two People?Good Questions |

Really? An empty unfinished attic with a bed and a chair and another bedroom with a totally unmade bed? I like the wallpaper mentioned, but that came with the house. Other than that, I see no "design" in these rooms at all. Swedish Style: Elisabeth Dunker's Country Home Design*Sponge |

I just recently got a mustard colored quilt and shams from West Elm (the bubbles quilt, I think it's sold out now). I LOVE it. I also have a bright mustard colored purse. And I've been searching for the perfect mustard colored cardigan sweater for over a year. I'm obsessed. Color Inspiration: Mustard in Fashion and Interiors |

This is the tikka masala recipe I've always used. 2 alterations to this: take out about 90% of the salt listed for the marinade and the sauce, and double the sauce for the amount of chicken they mention. Chicken Tikka Masala from The Pioneer Woman Recipe Review |

We had a wall in our kitchen that had no upper cabinets, so we installed an Ikea Grundtal shelf and rail that have been a total life saver! We use the rail to hang pots on the wall above the stove and the shelf has my cookbooks, flour/sugar jars and other odds and ends on top and then below it has 2 hanging spice racks (AWESOME. Love these.), and other hooks for pot holders, mugs, and a cutting board. We saved SO much space doing this, I have no idea where I would have put all of this stuff if we hadn't put these in. We live in a rental, so we got permission to put these up since they're pretty permanent, but it will be a great thing for the next tenants and it wasn't that expensive. LL Bean used to make (not sure if they still do) these flat beanbag kind of things that you put in the microwave to heat up a bed or lay over a sore shoulder. It's great, it always smells like cinnamon oatmeal when it comes out of the microwave. If it's really cold I'll say it's a "bunny night" meaning I'm heating up my bunny shaped beanbag heater. This is scary! I've avoided HFCS as much as I can, but it seriously is in EVERYTHING. Even some canned tomato paste at the grocery store has it in it.
