I absolutely love this space! I went through the gallery over and over. I don't even mind the vignettes, I think they provide a good sense of the space.

I'm a big fan of sage. In Portland, at least, it grows back from the roots every year, even after unusually harsh winters. You can even toss some in your camp fire or fire pit and the smoke will drive away mosquitos.

I've had terrible luck with basil. There's nothing better than a caprese salad made with homegrown tomatoes, but basil is about the neediest plant I can think of. It needs full sun, lots of water and great soil. And slugs love it, so you have to devise a plan to keep them out. Easier just to buy a bunch from the farmers market and keep it in a vase on the kitchen counter all week.

It is pretty small. Perfect for the space it is in, but I can certainly see why it wouldn't work with a long sofa!

I have the West Elm origami coffee table. I love it! A warning though - if you have it on a hard surface (like, not a rug), it will wobble slightly but obnoxiously when you set a drink down on it. When I bought it, they warned me that red wine could stain the white bone surface, but so far I haven't found that to be a problem at all.

For a long time, I hunted eBay for a similar industrial-looking lamp. I wasn't able to find an affordable one, especially since the truly vintage ones are very heavy, making the shipping costs exorbitant. Some of them looked like they needed to be re-wired to be safe, too. I ended up getting this one:

At the time, it was on sale for a little less than $300. I'm not sure if that's what you consider affordable. If you swapped out the shade, you could make it a little more personal!

If you're wondering where to find hairpin legs, I got mine from this site: http://www.modernlegs.com/product-category/hairpin-legs/
They were shipped to me in a reasonable amount of time, were solidly constructed, and made in Colorado.
