I don't mean to sound rediculous, but how many articles are going to be published simply because someone hangs a shelf near their door and calls it a landing strip? it's a shelf, it holds mail and keys....etc. tah-dah. I just ordered a bunch of sample from homedepot online. (prices are much better than this stuff) I am all about this look..I don't know why I am loving it so much. I think it was ever since I noticed is in some of the offices on MadMen (what a beautifully proppeed show) anyone ever have issues with the seams? looks like a bunch of lathing strips nailed and overlapped on the wall. I have seen other walls like this on this site..and also, I think in the CB2 catalogue, and maybe FLOR? seems like it would be easy to recreate..no? I have ordered samples from fauxbrickpanels.com and they are molded from real walls. They are made of hard foam, and they do look like the real thing..and they have mineral dust in then that even catched light like mica dust. I am torn about the faux thing myself. especially the "feel", which whil hard to dicern, is not brick. I was originally looking into them as a fix for another problem- mainly that I am having insulation injected into my walls which will leave holes that will need to be patched and repaired. I think its the walls that are not working. if the chandelier is painted the same color as the chair upholstery, and the walls were a dark and warm cement/plastiline color (like in the rug tiles) I think it would all tie together nicely- Apartment Therapy New York \| NY Good Questions: What Should I Do About This Chandelier? I wonder if "bringing your own reusable bags to the grocery store, reusing wrapping paper for gifts and using energy efficient fluorescent light bulbs" will make nearly as much as an impact as NOT having been on a jet that spewed emission into the air while you noticed iceland melting by looking out it's window.
