Erin, Where are the sconces with the gold finishings from? I have been looking for exactly those sconces! Thanks.

I think you really did a great job. I think the backsplash looks well done, even if it's not everyone's taste.
I also think knobs would add a nice finishing touch, and a few little accent colors to tie everything together.
Overall, I think it's a major, major improvement!

I'm not creeped out by this, however I do think it's very ugly.

I've stayed multiple times at the Mid-Century Splendor, and it is fabulous! It sleeps 10 and is a great get away for a bunch of people.
Those cleaning fees are pretty much standard across the board.

This is a really lovely apartment. I love Warehouse 1333 in LB! Killer finds there, including your chair. Great job!

While both are lovely, I am totally digging the 70's vibe.

Someone please buy this house! It would be so awful if it was demolished, it's amazing.

I say re-upholster it before you paint because thats a less permanent fix. I had some similar chairs that I painted high gloss, and re-upholstered, and now it completely fits in to my decor and I love them.
I also agree with other posters that maybe it just doesn't fit into your style, and maybe you should sell it rather than going through all the trouble.
Also, what's with people being so rude on AT posts?? Lighten up a little, jeez!

My sister is an interior designer, and she suggests going with something slightly higher end, for the sake of resell. If that's not an issue for you, then I would say go for it. We have an Ikea kitchen in our rental, and it's actually pretty nice. I feel like it depends on what materials you get, Ikea varies a lot in quality.

My first name is Noel. (Pronounced Noelle) When I was young and in school or at the doctors office, I was always be really embarrassed when the teacher/nurse would call out, "Noel?" and use the male pronunciation.
Now that I am older, I really appreciate that my name is both different than most, and that people don't know my sex prior to meeting me. I think it actually works to my advantage in my career.
