This is not specifically about the point of the article but, has anyone used kickstarter to help fund a high school sports team and a specific goal/trip/equipment? It stems from the author's initial reaction so I was just curios to see if that has worked?

I picked up the Timberland ones since they often have the 40% off and they work well with my Palm Pre. The only problem I have is that the gloves need to be tight and right along your finger(s) or where you touch with your fingertip won't be the same as what gets picked up by the glove. I didn't get them to do heavy texting but more answer my phone or place a call without having to remove my gloves. I could not find the product on their webpage. North Face also has a pair that runs 40$: http://www.thenorthface.com/catalog/sc-gear/mens-accessories-filter-category-gloves_mitts/etip-glove.html

A bit of a let down article, as boxee box is just being released coincidentally. But what about going cheaper with a Western Digital Live. What about a NAS? Unless you want to always turn your computer on to stream your movies from there. Most items do not seem necessary for a wireless set-up. Skip the solar keyboard and get the lenovo multimedia remote that is always on sale for 30 dollars. This article really is just a plug for all new items...

I think that without the blu ray medium, we are not able to get HD codecs into the consumers homes and so do not create what whe have now in the digital distribution. Blu rays do matter because they allowed for the proliferation of high quality in videos. I think saying they do not matter seems to be a statement of ignorance, even if one does not use it or will not, it is because of blu ray that you are enjoying the streaming HD.

I understand the idea of not wanting to give up the collection and I started selling back my DVDs to Amazon, except for the Disney ones. The only problem I have run into is this. I compressed the physical size of my collection by getting rid of the cases and most artwork, to put the actual DVDs in sleeves and then in Ikea boxes for much easier storage. Does anyone know of a website that takes just the physical DVD without having to sell them on craiglist or such?
