Ok, I love this idea! I once thought it would be really cool to decorate a boys room in a car/tool theme and have a tool chest as a dresser. I wasn't so sure about having metal in case someone hit their head on the corners or something like that. (you never know with boys) But making a traditional wood dresser look like a tool chest, now that would work!

I love all of these ideas! My client used her card catalog as extra kitchen storage.

I love this idea, and have written about it as well. You can also cut out templates of the cookware and spray paint around them so you remember where everything goes! Julia Child drew around all of her cookware so when she took something down the outline was there.

I found some on Craigslist here in Nashville. They were perfect but then I realized that the space I had was too narrow for one. :(

I agree with the others, the thermostat has to be able to sense what temperature the air is. That is why the builders normally put them there. Our builder did the same but we have a small area just next to that main wall in our living area that would also work so my husband just moved the thermostat. Obviously that won't be an option for everyone though!

I like the mirror they just need to make sure the air is getting through.
