Start with a beautiful sourdough round, cut it up and dry it out so it'll absorb the juices from mushrooms, onions, celery, broth, herbs, butter. Not difficult, though it takes longer than bagged stuff. My cheat: precut celery/onion. We travel for the day so I make extra to leave at home for the weekend.

I have a dozen+ pairs of scissors for bad art nights and 3D collage workshops.

Once had a duplex neighbor who walked her cute little Chihuahuas on the street for the first ten days she lived there, then started using our shared backyard as the potty place. The poo was always picked up but the lawn suffered and don't even think about walking barefoot! Did not realize that gardening would be a constant challenge, with deer finding their way into the backyard. Damned Bambi! On the plus side, the shower was a lovely surprise; the rain shower head is so far above the low-flow nonsense I had been used to, I forgave the ghastly flesh-colored tile.

The KU Dir Ka Chair is totally charming (minus the blind orange) - love the humor, simplicity and function.

Loving Flora, Fauna and Merriweather!

Love my big antique armoire, my ceiling-height ficus lyrata, the wonderful bench windowseat with storage, the sheers-softened light from our huge windows, tall corner shelving full of books, African violets, art, and my sweet grandkitten.

When I was a child, my mother loved hanging laundry outdoors. My father built a patio with overhead clotheslines for my mother, and in the cement imbedded a permanent hopscotch 'ladder' and numbers outlined in pebbles. It was pretty wonderful!
