Hey it's not just renters who need this. I have plenty of clothes that are "line dry only"

I have a ~1600 sq ft house. The space is totally fine for 2 adults and 3 cats. I do wish the layout was a little better. It's 4 tiny bedrooms - wish it was 3 larger bedrooms, but it's more than enough. I might turn one of my bedrooms into a giant closet, since closet space is what my house lacks. Yay ~100 year old houses!

My heating and a/c bills are way more than enough. And 1600 sq ft was definitely too much for me to clean, I did get a cleaning service - but the cost of that goes up with the size of the house.

I have friends who want 2500+ sq ft houses. They've been living in tiny apartments and I really don't think they are considering the additional costs associated with that much more space.

I agree with DuluthGirl, I would put the bed against the bathroom wall so that when you walk in, you're walking into the living room area. I'd put the couch facing away from the bed and facing the wall and TV on that wall (assuming you have a tv?) and then maybe you could even fit in a small side chair angled off the couch

@RealDeal - I did, and almost all of fitness/health advice from the mainstream media is total garbage, so it's extra irritating to see it on a design blog.

@MelissaM - Hmmm I'm not really sure where you are clicking? When I go to the site and pick 7x10 in the drop down as opposed to 5x7 for the size, it says not available.
