Wow, what a schizophrenic space.
I agree, they should have at least matched the roofing on the front side. The interior is gorgeous, but all the original bungalow charm is lost.

I was wondering about that light under the TV console as well!

Nice color palette... But I agree, it looks very "Designed to Sell"
Some people can live without personal effects and clutter, I guess.
Sigh* not me

I love those lamps in the entry way as well.

Beautiful, eclectic home filled with personality.

As a plant person though, I have to say OMG those poor dying orchids!... Can't believe they weren't removed before the photo shoot!

I love your restraint. I would never be able to live without more "stuff".
Also, the cat stairs are a great solution to your loft bed.
Wish you'd posted a picture of the view from the windows.

What an amazing transformation! I LOVE the wall color.
Can't wait till you guys finish the rest of the house - can we have a house tour?
Thanks for sharing your kitchen.

Lovely house. The chandelier in the master bath is great. I normally don't like lots of vignettes, but you obviously have a great eye for them. Enjoyed the tour!

I'm with Rosemary, a cable box would do a lot more to improve #8 than that artwork.

Great woodwork, both the details and the floors.

I agree, the photos come off a bit chilly, but I think if there were people in the house it's probably warm and inviting.
I like how the photos in this house tour lead you thru the house - from the outside (always nice to see) in.

Great photography collection, beautifully displayed. Have to agree, these photos are more magazine-styled than AT is used to, and this house is not my style - but nice to see something different.

As an aside, I've had my comments removed before, and don't quite get it. The moderation here seems quite uneven - dependent on the whimsy of the OP I guess.

If you don't like the mirrors, you can also get that film in various shades/textures to put on them, and it's easily removable when you move out. Rice Paper, stained glass, etc. There was a post about those not too long ago.

Also, there have been a few tours lately where people painted just the inside of the molding to great effect.

What do you specifically not like about them? That would help answer the question.

Looks like your new place has great period details: moldings, wainscoting, etc. Nice use of color. And I love all the vintage stuff..

I would have appreciated more long shots and less vignettes, to really get a sense of the space. Also, I find it kind of weird that you posted about yourself in the 3rd person. Or am I wrong? Please don't fall prey to the AT "royal we" epidemic :)

Overall, nice job! And your dog looks like he's gotten bigger.

And that studio...I am envious!
Great eye for collection display. I could not live with those dark colors, though.
Love your kitchen. And great shots of the cats - I like how oblivious they are to the photographer.

Great use of color. Thanks for captioning some of the photos. Not colors I would choose, but they work really well with your aesthetic.

I can't wait to see what you guys do with the new place!
Loved the house/kitchen/office tours. I hope your kitties adapt to the move ok.

My question about moving isn't what do you pack first; rather, what do you pack last? The most important things that you need immediate access to.
Enjoy your new digs!
