I really liked last year's color, but not so much on this one. It really doesn't matter what Pantone says, I like the colors I like. I'll admit though, I get excited when I hear that they've chosen something. Maybe it's the surprise element? It doesn't mean I'm going to go get some green pants or a green throw pillow. I'm not much of a fad follower.

My Staub is the best thing to happen to me (in the kitchen at least). Go staub!

I like the dark grout because you can see the shapes of the tiles which adds interest to simple tile. It doesn't strike me as dirty.

Um... Have you tasted the difference between an egg from the grocery store and an egg from my three girls??? That's why I have them. Yes, it was expensive (even though I used mostly found objects to build the coop), but it's totally worth it.

Why can't we all just get along and eat more vegetables??

We have to find that fine line between quality eating and eating that accessible to the masses. Because, let's be honest, not everyone can go to Russia and eat fine cavier, but at the same time eating too many cheap McDonalds cheeseburgers can kill us. To me, Paula Dean just screams gluttony and I honestly wonder how much money her producers spend on butter alone. I love butter as much as the next guy, but my arteries would be screaming for mercy after awhile.

We need to find a balance, that's all I'm saying.

I honestly really dislike the use of green in the kitchen. The reflection of green on a plate of beautiful food can make it nauseating. Though, green in a living room?? Love. The second photo is my favorite.

the only issue with this is that fresher foods and decent grocery stores are tough to find in urban communities with poorer populations. There might be an obesity epidemic but we need to help these populations have better access to nutritional, often more expensive foods. This might be a better answer to the obesity epidemic.

I'm kind of thinking that the stripes are drowning the rest of the room. The fabrics aren't weighted the same, as in, the prints are too tiny to be noticeable or look like they belong.
