What a gorgeous home. You can see everything, even the little objects like the salt and pepper shakers, were chosen with great care. And that dog is too cute!

I have a question: I would like to wallpaper one wall in my bedroom. I live in an old Manhattan tenement, and there is a heat pipe running from the floor to the ceiling in one corner. It is about two inches from the wall. It gets hot in the winter, of course, but it doesn't leak water or anything. Still, do I have to worry about the heat emitted from the pipe affecting the wallpaper? Could it make the wallpaper lift off the wall?

Donna, I am so sorry for your loss.

I also have to say I was touched by this post. This is one of the reasons why I love Apartment Therapy. It's not a sterile site about interior design. It's a warm site with heart and an appreciation of the dogs and cats and other pets that enrich our lives.

I love the USA made out of license plates. And the adorable dogs, too, of course. A house just isn't a home without pets!

I love every inch of this fun, quirky apartment. I don't think I've ever spent so much time going through a House Tour on Apartment Therapy. There is so much to look at. It never ends! And the cats are cute, too!

Lotti, it is so sweet. Charlotte gives herself a little bath in the morning and bathes her sheepskin, too. She'd love to give the schnoodle she lives with a bath, but he won't stay still for one. :)

A tip for cat owners: Take an Ikea sheepskin and cut it in half lengthwise. It'll fit nicely in the window, and your cat can lounge on it. My cat Charlotte sits on hers every morning and even bathes it!

My cat Charlotte sleeps on my bed but down toward the end, although when I returned from a week-long trip recently, she slept on my pillow that night, placing her head on the back of my neck. It was like she wanted to wrap herself around me. Very sweet and a nice welcome home!

How can I not love a home that is so pet-friendly? I especially like that he has dog stairs propped up against the couch so that Starla can climb up easily. Overall, a nice pad for a guy and his adorable little dog!

I have magazines in my bathroom, but they're for my cat. She likes to read when she is in her litter pan.

I always love it when I see pets in the photos. Thanks for the feline roundup!

I bought a Christmas tree specifically for my cat Charlotte. She hasn't tried to climb it, but she likes to bat at the balls and sit underneath it.

I agree with the other posters who want to see photos of the kitten. In fact, I demand to see kitten photos!

My beautiful cat Charlotte likes to sit on her kitty skyscraper and look out the window at the East Village. The skyscraper hardly compliments my decor, but it was the least ugly one I saw, and I know it makes her happy.

I received one of these for my birthday recently, and it was delightful. The little box comes inside of a yellow mailing envelope, by the way. I imagine the tiny thing would get lost or crushed if not protected!

What a transformation. I love the chandelier in the bathroom, and I am envious of the washing machine. Great that you could squeeze a washing machine into such a tight space. Gorgeous cats, too. What more could you need? :)

Love the chair, although I can't imagine paying $1,495 for it! By the way, I recently blogged about meeting Pee-wee Herman at Katz' Deli. So great to see him making a comeback!

These are fantastic. I ordered a custom pet portrait of my friend's dog for her birthday (from another artist, but I'm sure I'll order from Anne one day), and she was so delighted when I gave it to her. These really make fantastic gifts for the pet lover in your life!
