With Library of Congress ordering, you usually have to first think of a topic first (i.e. "biology") which I find really intuitive. We have a lot of books, and it's immensely helpful to have a very structured system. It is, however, undeniably utilitarian, and well, not very pretty. I have an incredibly warm silk-filled comforter that comes out every winter. It insulates so well that even though it's billed as a "three-season" blanket (spring, summer, and fall), we can only use it during the winter with the thermostat at 50 F overnight! Snuggle Up: The Best Blankets |

I love these rooms, but the drapery-less ones could use some drapes or shades. That would warm them up a lot and add zero clutter. Enough Is Enough The Diversion Project |

This is awesome, but as a biologist, I'm worried about the hot water discharge from the hot tub, and whether this will affect the cold-water loving creatures in the stream. The Farrells' 250-Square-Foot Mongolian Yurt Green Tour |

Not a big enough consumer of aspartame to care whether it's toxic or not, but @AnotherPaula, lol, as a former neuroscience concentrator (since graduated), I have whole shelves-full of bio, medicine, and chem textbooks, and I've barely read any of them. However, it does make me look significantly smarter that they're there ;). Another Non-Toxic Trick for Getting Rid of Ants | Apartment Therapy Boston |

Just a caution that these little things are highly unstable, and your $60 investment is probably going to turn into a fancy ball full of slimey water sooner or later. They need to be kept at an almost constant 78 F under specific light conditions in order to chug along. Although great for a NASA experiment, they really aren't good for keeping as a decoration. I'm glad it works for them, but I don't love it. Despite all that warm light it feels cold--more like a commercial space than a home. I agree that the style lacks cohesiveness, and a lot of the furniture that I see are DWR designy but not terribly imaginative. Marc Carolyn's Artful Angles House Tour | Apartment Therapy Boston |

I use the Rabbit Air air purifier to help with allergies in the spring and summer and it does a great job. I also have three rabbits (unrelated to the air purifier) who shed heavily at least twice a year, and I like to think this helps with any allergens from them. Zamioculcas zamifolia can get to a nice specimen sized plant even in lower light. When it doesn't get enough light or water it just stops growing, but it stays green and alive through it all. House Plant that Thrives in VERY Low Light? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy New York |
