my kid (2) is obsessed with mr. potato head. OBSESSED. he thinks it's such fun to put all the parts on him. Hubby had a set from when he was a kid and loves playing with that at Grandma and Grandpa's. Extra pieces are cheap and add to more fun.

I too, have wondered this exact thing. I know Babies R Us does some type of trade in thing to get a discount on a new car seat. I wonder if they recycle them and if you could just donate it for recycling?

We have last years model of the UppaBaby G-Lite and love it. Bought it for a trip to AZ...but so happy to have it now for quick errands when packing the jogger just isn't necessary. Folds up super easy and has a leg that the stroller stands on when folded. Perfect for storage.

i got mine from ginger and scallion and bought a wire clip mobile, modified it to fit the balloons. my little guy loves looking up at it from his crib. and they are so light weight that it just takes a bit of air to make them spin. such fun.

we got the cube crib from baby's dream. http://www.babysdream.com/Products/Cube/Default.htm

lead free, formaldehyde free

it was around $600, which was higher than i expected to pay, but grandma and grandpa chipped in. if it had not been for that, would have went for ikea. crib was most expensive piece of furniture in the room. everything else was bought from ikea or craigslist. i'm sure you'll get lots of suggestions here!
