Actually, if you click on the "Michael and Anna's incredible home" link above, Michael tells (in the comments section) that he used threaded pipe, flanges, etc. to put the shelf together. I'm gonna try my hand at one in a few weeks. He also says that he moved the plant a while ago.

Wow! Thanks Mike for the info on the shelving system. I have been looking for interesting shelving to go in my bathroom that I didn't have to attach to the walls (I have weak walls, but my ceilings are strong). I'm pretty handy, so I think I'll get my stuff from Home Depot this weekend for this project. Wonderful home!

Loved the pencils but they really are $33/month for 20 months! Beautiful idea, but $660 for pencils is not worth the expense. Too bad...

You'd probably have to use a wet saw for ceramic. With plastic or melamine, you can just use a drill.

Absolutely...I have this huge rattan and wood chair that I fell in love with at a home goods store where I worked at the time. It was completely out of my budget but 6 years later, I'm still crazy about it. It's so big that I've had to take the doors off, in order to fit it in a room. I don't care....

I love it...this is absolutely charming. It looks like one of those homes featured in Better Homes and Gardens. I'm particulary in love with the subway tile in the bathroom as well as the wallpaper in the bedroom. Fantastic Job!
