I spread about 1/2 cup of borax along the bottom of the door before I close it which helps with cleaning. Filling the rinse reservoir with vinegar really works.

I use all natural washing powders and they've all worked great.

Read the labels to make sure your stuff doesn't contain 'Phosphates' which is really bad for the environment, it basically suffocates fish of oxygen. It's an ingredient used in lots of detergents for laundry and dishwashing.

I have a vintage blender I got for $10. It doesn't blend smoothies very well with frozen fruit, I have to leave it melt for a while and even then it's a battle.

I'm thinking I'll go with the breville or the ninja, but the ninja is cheaper!
