I love the caged pendant light. I always thought it would be cool to have a kitchen that resembled a lab from the Miskatonic University. Fhtagn!

Neighbors are a tricky thing to deal with on things like this. Chicken droppings attract flies, and some people don't much care for roosters crowing. The benefits of having a chicken, though.... they're just funny, you get free eggs, and depending on if they imprinted on you at hatching, they can be quite "affectionate" (as far as a chicken goes, anyway). We had one that would jump up on our lap. She also roosted in our lemon tree at night, but attracting predators, including raccoons and possums is a constant issue. More than once we had to come outside at night to rescue her.

Here's a lovely concept: When people bitch about something, maybe they could also offer a solution about what they'd do instead. 8^)

To people coming to apartment therapy and sniveling about whatever item is on display and how happy they'll be when said displayed item's trend will end. Please, go jump in a lake.

Everything is gorgeous, and scrolling through the pics real quick, I thought to myself..."Mulholland Drive"? And there it is, in your description. What a fantastic achievement, getting into the beautiful location used for that movie! Congratulations on that!

oh...people airing their weird issues online in comment sections is just bad form.

Actually, one thing that makes a person turn away from these pages is the long scroll of comments that add up to nothing more than a bunch of snivelers airing their weirdest hang ups. 8^/

Always interesting, I kind of see her as a real-life version of Happy Homemaker Sue-Ann Nivens. Charming and endearing on camera, dragon lady when cameras stopped. 8^O

Tron Legacy..... Sam Flynn's waterfront Loft/Studio (complete with Fireorb fireplace) and his dad Kevin Flynn's "safehouse" withing the computer grid, evoking 2001: A Space Odyssey. The city within the grid is beautiful as well, and director Joseph Kosinski's architectural roots are very clearly on display here.

I'm enjoying all the modifications we've been seeing with this lamp. I've yet to put mine together, but the idea of turning the frilly ends inward is fab.

I got the Propello fan a about 3 years ago, for only (!) about 100 dollars. It looks smashing, but it's not terribly powerful, and sits close by in my office. And, it's pretty darn quiet, which is always a plus.

I've seen this stuff put to really neat use, when used sparingly...like as a chair rail or a molding along the floor or a plaque with another plexiglass plaque screwed over it, etc.... but like this, it just looks too unfinished. That last pic, it looks like it's swelling up from water next to the tub. I love the idea of using alternate materials, though, such as corrugated metal, or the plastic we see in these pics on some of the sliding doors.

Did you see TRON Legacy? Jeff Bridges' "safehouse" was top-heavy in awesome design, from a floor that was right out of the finale of 2001: A Space Odyssey, Mid-Century furniture, and ornate, clear furniture cast in clear lucite, like what you are after here. Absolute eye candy. Good Luck! 8^)
