The ceiling makes me want to just lay down on the floor and surrender. In the best possible way, of course.

There is much to love here - a great example of the "glam" trend being implemented in a way that is still comfortable, inviting, and down to earth. Love all the kelly green. And cowhides aren't always my favorite, but that large one in all white looks perfect, I think because the lack of markings makes you think less of a dead animal on the floor and draws attention to the interesting shape.

Office nook is fantastic, and I enjoy all the beakers. Mike seems pretty splendid. Surfbort!

...And also with the Stacks of Books with Crap Resting On Top. There is so much shelf space there, why do the books need to be pinned underneath tchotchkes?

While there are so many lovely individual items here, it does bother me to see homes where the owner seems to be mimicking stylistic flourishes seen in Elle Decor or wherever. To me it feels like a triumph of style over substance. It feels like someone is conforming their life to advertising imagery. It feels like the functionality of a personal space is being sacrificed on the altar of consumerism.

Forgive my dramatic rant, which I'm sure will be deleted by the newly sensitive AT moderators, but this is something I think about and even struggle with myself when decorating my own space.

Pretty. Sometimes staging really throws me for a loop. Why are there bracelets resting on a stack of plates?

"Me too!" -- I am also pleased to see this more traditional look getting some play on AT. I love that the owner has slowly pulled this elegant look together over the course of 13 years.

I think I might be a secret beige fanatic.

A fantastic space, but I'm surprised this is a professional project. The proportions and flow of the living room seem completely off. Perhaps it's the photographs?

our master bath is small, oddly shaped, and the cat box lives in there. I'd like to paint it an interesting color and add some fun details, but it will never be part of the "grand tour" !

These are great principles to embrace. My parents rarely entertained due to my mom's perfectionism in this regard, and I think our house was lonelier for it.

Once the professional treatments have ceased, you can continue preventative measures by spraying rubbing alcohol on the important areas (mattress seams, baseboards)

Don't forget the plastic zip-up covers for your mattress and box spring.

I and many of my friends have dealt with bed bug outbreaks of various severities over the years. It's important to remember to not go insane over the problem. The psychological toll these bugs can take on you is not to be understated. It's very easy to fall into a spiral of fear, paranoia, shame, and late-night Googling over this. Take a deep breath and trust the process.

So what's up with the rampant censorship of comments on this tour? Mine was mostly positive, but it's been deleted, I assume for not being "glowing." I understand removing mean-spirited commentary, but this is very hamfisted and I'm disappointed.

The glass room is amazing. The d├ęcor isn't down-to-earth to me, but rather cold, sparse, Eamsey and antler-y. I can appreciate the desire for a very pared down feel in a live/work space, though.
