I am so glad to see this issue addressed! I am an Occupational Therapist and every day talk to people who have flights of stairs, tubs, loose rugs, and all sort of things that are hard to navigate. It is so much easier to manage when you aren't already sick or injured. And LinkyInVa you are so right that it is a HUGE deal. No one wants to be forced from their home especially bc someone else tells them they have to. But it is something that as a culture we could be better at addressing. In my imaginary ideal world every home has ADA access. And it seems like this is a huge gap in the design world, too. Just bc someone needs accommodations doesn't mean they should have ugly surroundings.
