We found a crew that charged $1200 for about 1000 sq ft. + $250 for stairs to sand and finish our 100 year old oak floors.

Loved the final product!

Evans Construction http://www.evansgc.com/ - Angelo is the general contractor- very fair, honest and timely. They've done a bunch of work for us so far and they have been a pleasure to work with- They do the job right and by the books.

We were originally quoted at $6500 for labor and building materials.
Building materials included moisture resistant dry wall and flooring, replacing and reinforcing the floor, new window, ventilation, etc.
Labor costs included demo, all electrical re-wiring, plumbing, tiling, installation. We had some added costs with the floor and wall issues and we had to put in a new electrical panel with the jacuzzi tub.

Fixtures, tub, toilet and vanity were around $1500.

All in all, we came in just under $10,000 for the entire project.

@fixitchick we had a square casement window at eye-level in the shower which left us with privacy, lots of light and a little sill for plants! we also splurged on the ventilation system to avoid further moisture issues.

@Emma of the barberry - we went with IKEA cabinets and mirror and the storage room is unbelievable! We don't have a linen closet, so storage is definitely an issue for us.
