This never turned out for me so, after asking around, decided to cook it like pasta instead of rice. I rinse it, then add it to boiling water (salted for savory, unsalted for sweet I eat it for breakfast with almond milk and dried fruit) then I let it cook for about 15 mins, till it is done then I spread it out on a sheet pan to cool quickly so it doesn't keep cooking and done. I like the texture of quinoa and found this method the best way to keep that wonderful texture.

beautiful but young, a little sterile, but beautiful. Maybe it is just the lighting. Yup, I think it is that.

Do not say a word or you may find yourself the chef and not the guest! Enjoy the company and offer to help clean up, help set the table, and always tell your host how wonderful everything is!

Oh Arizona summers, how I hate you. What I do is cold brew peppermint tea and go everywhere with a giant cup full of this super cooling refreshing iced tea. On sundays I roast a huge amount of veggies and eat cold veggie sandwiches cold veggie burritos cold veggie omelets cold veggie salads the entire week. With the burritos, I buy cans of refries beans, open one up and slather it on a tortilla cold with cold veggies and cold salsa. Cold, Cold, Cold, everything!

Geeeeezzzzzz, I think we are supposed to be looking at the overall decor (which is not 80's, the southwest and its style has existed for a bit longer) and not picking apart what may or may not be a real rhino horn. Agree, not cool if real but...
I do live in Arizona and love the romance of the old masonry and sausalito tile and yes, turquoise. I love how mexican, native american, and rancher culture translate into home decor.

it screams heat because it is arizona and we have no water and it is 110 outside. i do think the yard could use a bit more, something, but considering the houses location, it is refreshing to see a yard that does not require water (but what about that sad patch of grass in the back?).

I love the inspiration! I have volunteered at a few local domestic violence shelters and always wish the place felt more alive and inviting, not to me, but to the women who are worth a beautiful space to relax and get their lives back together! Bravo to a job well done and thank you for the inspiration.
