When my son was younger we had a play kitchen in the kitchen. He liked to "cook" while I was cooking. Now he is 3 and likes to help with simple things. I really like the idea of finger foods for mom to eat while she's nursing at the night. I was WAY hungrier when I was breastfeeding than when I was pregnant. My husband would laugh at me because I would "pack a lunch" every night and keep it on my bedside table. I could feed the baby and snack without getting up to raid the fridge. We bought our son a little red shopping basket full of plastic food for his play kitchen. I stole the basket and put all of his bibs in it.
