We are HUGE fans of the Fisher Price Frog. Its the only thing my son would use and it was like a magnet for every kid who set foot in our house - even my nephew who would only train on a real toilet.

Target has a cute line of blue and white stuff right now. Not sure what they have in terms of planters, though.

When my son was younger we had a play kitchen in the kitchen. He liked to "cook" while I was cooking. Now he is 3 and likes to help with simple things. We also have a low cabinet full of quiet time activities such as crayons and play dough in addition to a sensory bin. He usually picks the sensory bin.

Thank you so much for this. My husband just finished painting our laundry room yesterday. I was in need of some inspiration for ways to finish it off.

You can actually purchase lactose free cheese. My mom is lactose intolerant and practically lives on LF Swiss cheese that her local grocery store special orders for her.

I really like the idea of finger foods for mom to eat while she's nursing at the night. I was WAY hungrier when I was breastfeeding than when I was pregnant. My husband would laugh at me because I would "pack a lunch" every night and keep it on my bedside table. I could feed the baby and snack without getting up to raid the fridge.
Stuff high in protein was always great because it stuck with me a bit longer.

We bought our son a little red shopping basket full of plastic food for his play kitchen. I stole the basket and put all of his bibs in it. It sits on our china cabinet with some colorful vintage dishes and cook books I got from my mom.
