Being the Russian British myself, I always find the idea of the Union Jack door mat simply disrespectful. Or probably being a naturalised Briton, I'm more patriotic.
Growing up in Russia, the USSR, more precisely, we were taught to respect the symbols of your country. These mats are sold everywhere here in the UK and people wouldn't really give it one thought, but everyone tends to agree I've got a point.

Back on the subject, i like my mats really plain and unnoticeable

I have got both a Kindle and an Asus TF2. I bought an anti glare static screen for my tablet, which made a huge difference and I read books on them both depending which one is closer to reach.

I love the first photo, but I think it's not something I'll want in my kitchen altogether with the stainless steel flashbacks (had in our rented apartment in the posh development by the Thames) - imagine how often you will need to clean them provided you actually cook in your kitchen..
