I would add a #7 -- Supervise your kids when they are playing in common areas. I get that kids need to get out and run around, but that doesn't mean that I need to listen to them ring my doorbell and run every couple of minutes. Then there were the boys who found the door to the roof and were having a Nerf gun battle on the EDGE of the roof ...

It's not a food (although I could go on forever with a list of favorite foods) but I must add the completely un-sexy ... toilet paper! 100% recycled content toilet paper for about 1/6th of the cost of Whole Foods. Now I can not feel like a jerk every time I go to the bathroom. Thank you TJ's! :)

I also love, love, love my dryer balls! They decrease the amount of time it takes to dry your clothes and I've also noticed that there is very little car hair on my clothes since I switched. (And, yes, they do make good cat toys too. Especially when they fall out of the dryer or clothes leaving the dryer.) If, however, you live in a small place and don't want to listen to balls slamming around the dryer, search for "quiet" dryer balls. They're felted differently and they make a HUGE difference.

I don't know what kind of Philips lights you got, but their new SlimStyle LEDs are pretty cool looking (they're flat and the LEDs are arranged along the rim of the bulb so you do get a little bit more of a designed look when they're on). They're 10.5W (60W equivalent), come in either 2700k or 5000k and are dimmable. Oh, and they're also under $10!

Philips claims they're good for pendant and sconce lights because the shape helps dissipate the heat, although I agree with @fixitchick -- LEDs do NOT do well without good heat dissipation.

Fantastic house Mark! I'll echo everyone else's love for the living room rug, but I'm going to have to say I love that Hopi painting even more. Love, love, love!
